Silly boys, when will they EVER learn? nolanbuc 12-02-08, 10:03 PM Clever. Sal Collaziano 12-03-08, 11:08 AM Right! Make sure she knows you love her! Keep buying her jewelry! :p blackdragon 12-03-08, 12:45 PM Yeah, I'v screwed up like that a couple of times. Once was a laser kit to connect to her stereo. Another was a carpet cleaner. :thumb::tsk: Never again.:frypan: BrandyBlue 12-03-08, 01:10 PM Right! Make sure she knows you love her! Keep buying her jewelry! :p Jewelry is good, IF you know what you're doing...of course, if you knew what you were doing, you might not need the jewelry...:dgrin: Sal Collaziano 12-03-08, 01:23 PM Jewelry is good, IF you know what you're doing...of course, if you knew what you were doing, you might not need the jewelry...:dgrin: Very true! So unless you're perfect (or close to it), keep buying that jewelry! I understand that these jewelry companies are only in business to make money - but it's a shame how people are so manipulated by the idea that jewelry is so important. We see it - and begin to believe it. Like commercials where the guy "buys her a diamond...again...". People fall for this nonsense? Get her a nice rock for the wedding.. Then get another for your 10 year anniversary.. Then another for your 25th.. And another for your 50th. People forget what's really important to them and actually start believing the jewelry company's best interests are also their own... It's all about bragging rights.. "My Husband loves me THIS much!!". Meanwhile, the guy working two jobs putting the kids through college, paying out the nose for one kid's medical expenses, keeping a roof over their heads and putting food on the table - apparently loves his wife less... We couldn't afford it so we didn't buy it. I am kind of an independent kinda bitch and I will have it if I want it. I think the fact that I haven't gotten it speaks for itself--some of us know what's important. I would LOVE to have one, of course, but the money that could have been spent on a rock over the years has gone to help charities, animals, family, etc. We aren't ALLLLLLL like that. Someday I will probably have that rock, but...not all of us are taken in by shiny objects. I am DISTRACTED by them, but I don't NEED them...:spin: Slayergrrl 12-03-08, 01:36 PM I just thought it was a funny video. :( I could care less about jewlery. Not a big fan.. I like sentimental gifts. Things that he thinks of me when he sees. Ya, Know? I don't even wear jewlery BrandyBlue 12-03-08, 01:46 PM It IS funny! And don't get me wrong, there are "doghouse" gifts, for sure! What I think we want is just to be thought of--REALLY thought of. Some of the most thoughtful gifts I ever got weren't ones that cost much, or ANYTHING. It's when they REALLY know you, inside and out, that you feel special. THAT is a great gift!!! Sal Collaziano 12-03-08, 02:05 PM I just thought it was a funny video. :( I could care less about jewlery. Not a big fan.. I like sentimental gifts. Things that he thinks of me when he sees.
