With all the stops thats how long it took us to drive to Missouri and how long it took to get back! But, we visited some Indian Museums and the world's largest McDonalds (it stretches over the interstate) in Oklahoma. We also visited some underground caverns and a drive thru safari in Missouri(have you ever petted a giraffe or had an ostich snatch food out of your hand?). This was before (or after) getting to my brother's house.
This turned into a mini-family reunion. It was the first time in over a decade that this many of us got together at one time. And we all got along great!! No fights or even arguments! I think everyone had a great time, especially the kids!
We all brought presents for each other, but my brother who graduated (the whole purpose of this get together) had the best surprise of all! He graduated Magna Cum Lauda and also graduated as a member of the National Honors Society! He also said that he just completed his first semester of post graduate work! This time next year he will earn his Master's Degree!

Where in Oklahoma is that McDonald's? I went to Tulsa back in December so I know it isn't that way.

That's great Red. Sounds like your brother's pretty smart. Always nice when family gatherings go well. My family pulled one off in March when my cousin got married.

Its about an hour to an hour and a half east of Tulsa on I-44. The kids went nuts when they saw it, I had no choice in stopping. To be honest with you, it is no big deal. They have TVs setup downstairs talking about Will Rogers and some pamphlets for tourists. Upstairs is a regular giftshop, a McDonalds giftshop, an extemely small play area and the restaurant. the restaurant is situated directly over the interstate so you can watch the traffic as it passes under you. I was bored with it, but the kids will tell you it was awesome.

Glad to see you made it back safely from vacation, Mayhem, and that you had an enjoyable time. You must be most impressed with your brother!!! <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

I will have to check that out next time i'm in Oklahoma. My boyfriend's Mom lives in Claremore, outside of Tulsa.
