Is anybody doing anything fun this weekend?

My big plan (besides getting some new sand for the sandbox ) is to take the kiddies to "touch a truck" day, where all sorts of emergency, nat'l guard, delivery, etc. vehicles are parked for kids to paw over them and sit in the driver's seat. It's not a concert or a club but it's the best I can do these days. ;)

Enjoy, everybody! Happy Friday!

 TX!!!!

Since the weather is going to be pretty crappy here, I'm going to probably just watch movies. I bought 4 movies at Blockbuster video. They had a sale on by 3 movies for $20. I got "Kite Runner," "Stardust," "Margot at the Wedding' and "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (which was on sale for $9.95. I'm also thinking of downloading the new Service Pack 3 for Windows. I'm a bit nervous to do it though. Has anyone downloaded it yet?

It's just for Windows Office. Don't worry, you're fine.:yesnod:

Phew, thanks, Tempest. I have OpenOffice so I don't even have to worry about that.

Have you seen Stardust before, Molly? Let me know what you think of it!

I'm headed out to meet Rhelawen (former board member for our newbies) tomorrow for a day of shopping. Looking forward to meeting her in person for the first time!

Sunday, I'm headed out to my best friend's house. Haven't seen her in MONTHS so am excited to hang out.

Got to to work today. Later in the evening,my brother is coming over and we are going to play some board games. Sunday is yard day. We usually cook out then too. Although the weatherman is calling for rain all weekend. Our yard already looks like a jungle. So much so that when I set ChiChi out in the grass to go potty, she is covered in grass! Then Monday I need to clean the house and finish laundry.

jillybean, I haven't seen Stardust yet, but it looked like a pretty decent movie. I know it didn't do well in the box office, but some of those movies I tend to like.

I liked the movie, Molly. It wasn't my typical type of film but it was pretty good. I read the book afterwards and enjoyed that as well!

have a fun trip Milani! :)
We did, in fact, get new sand into the sandboxes and go to truck day last weekend (it's rare that we do what we said we were going to....) and this weekend, the only thing on the schedule is a BBQ with our neighbors. Their kids are close to the same age and we like to do potlucks together. I think I'm going to pick up one of those frozen margarita mix buckets I saw at Target. Hehe.

Happy & safe Memorial Day weekend to all!

H3llacious pain shooting up my neck & down my arm! Vicodin takes the bite off, but it STILL hurts like CRAZY!! Why do these things always happen on the weekends?!?!

Awww, sorry to hear that TX, I hope you feel better soon  It always sucks when it's on a weekend too.

Today I went to my niece's 13th birthday party and tomorrow I'm going back over for a cookout later in the afternoon.

Today is a cookout day. Having ribs and chicken with a side of greens and baked beans.

First our Chow dog needs a cut and bath. No easy task, we usually get 2 black garbage bags of fur off her. Tried taking her to a groomer but they won't do her because she bites. Oh well..I should be used to cutting hair. :p

We're going to be putting up solar screens, washing cars & cooking out, while enjoying the beautiful weather we have out here today.
Neck still smarts, but I'm not letting this day go by w/out some sun!!!

Everyone have an AWESOME Memorial Day!! :flag:
