My home town has a sign, but it only says "Bakersfield" It is a landmark and the city wanted to take it down after being there around 50 years so Buck Owens bought it and put it on his street where the "Crystal Palace" is. Buck has done great things for Bakersfield and am glad he decided to keep the sign and not let it be demolished.

I lived in a town in Maine that had bullet holes in its "Welcome" sign. It said "Welcome to Milo, a Friendly Little Town". I shit you not.

My Town doesn't have a welcome sign. But if it did it might read "RUN!" :laugh:

I never thought about it, but I'm sure there's a "Welcome to Baton Rouge" sign around here somewhere.

Hmmm, never thought about it. I think Wellsville had/had one. I will have to check that out the next time I go down there.

I too am from Hamilton. Hamilton New Zealand. :) We have a welcome sign too, but nothing special.

Nice sign! It's fun when the one "famous person" from your town comes back. The best thing we have is somebody who ran for lieutenant governor last year & was not very popular LOL.
