Regarding the AAAW (Artists Against AIDS Worldwide) song What's Goin' On, I was just curious to know if any of you know which artists performed that song. I saw the video, but they all have blindfolds on most of the time and there was one or two I didn't recognize. Most you can tell by the voice and the mouths. Anyway, I'm a fan of all music.. so I really liked this song, regardless of the artists (truthfully I don't listen to most of them) But I think it's neat when different genre's get together for a single cause. Plus I lost my mother to AIDS when I was 10, so that's the main reason why I like the song.

This song started off for the people who died on 9/11 and somehow became a song for AIDS. (??) it was started by Bono of U2. Some of the artists are (doing this by memory) Gwen Stafani, Ja Rule, Missy Elliott, Limp Bizcuit, Neptunes, Nelly Fertado, Bono. Those are some I remember

The song was originally an AIDS charity sort of thing. Read more here (http://www.aaaw.org/music/index.html).

Maybe I thought that because it came out right at the same time and all the radio stations were playing Marvin Gaye's version in honor of the fallen and I played Cyndi Lauper's version on my American special the day after. Thanks Pam!

I haven't heard that version. I did see a video on VH-1 Classics where Marvin Gaye is singing it but the whole video is showing different music stars and actors while at the same time showing different things going on in the enviroment. I was wondering if that video had been made at one time for another cause?

I haven't seen that video Stacy.. I only heard the song recently.. and I think the reason I liked it was because of the video.. (the All-Star video with all the artists) Like I said, I like when a lot of artists get together like that. Shows music is universal, the one thing that binds us.. the one thing we all relate to.

The first video for it was all of them in the recording studio, they put out the 2nd video just recently.
I just watched the video online. It's Okay. I could just see USA for Africa there. LOL
