Not sure how many of you follow NASCAR... Dale Earnhart, "The Intimidator" died today at the Daytona 500 in the last lap.. he was 49 years old...

I go to the Brickyard 400 every year in Indy.. and always root for my buddy, Dale. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//frown.gif

Very sad day indeed Tina,
Dale was one of greatest drivers to come out of Nascar. He had a great personality and he was well respected by fans and drivers alike.
Dale Earnhardt will be greatly missed by the sport.

Even though I follow drag racing more than NASCAR, the news saddened me. His passing would be like John Force dying in drag racing. A huge chunk of the sport died with him. The saddest thing was that you see so many horrific accidents, and they walk away from it. This was a relatively minor impact, yet Dale is killed instantly. When it's your time.....

I've been Nascar crazy for several years now, it's gonna take quite awhile for this to sink in. I'm still in total disbelief.
