Hey everyone. I have had about the worst time ever (from Saturday night until now) than I have had in a long time. I slipped down my stairs and I had to go on an ambulance to the ER. There, I got X-Rays and then they sent me home. The next day, I had to go back because I was bleeding in a weird way. They checked that out with a CT Scan and found a little bit of blood in my right kidney that had escaped, but said that was normal and sent me home. The next day, I had to go for a follow-up examination with my doctor and she said she didn't like how the pain was still so terrible and she sent me back to the ER to get an ultrasound. I never ended up getting the ultrasound, but I did get another CT and they just gave me some Vicodin and sent me home again. So here I am. I can't even walk without pain http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//frown.gif
And to top that off, my pain killers are making me sick to my stomach. Sorry for all of the complaining, guys. I just needed to let loose...

I'm sooo sorry for your pain. I sincerely hope that you're feeling better soon!
Take care.....Oh, try to eat some crackers or toast about 10-15 min before you take the Vicodin. Or do what I do, and cut the pill in half.
Good luck!

Wow. I'm very sorry to hear all of this! What is a CT Scan? And I'd ask your doctor before splitting those pills in half. Although it is probably a good idea and I've done it myself.. Maybe just tell the doctor that it's what you wanna do. The whole pill may be too much.. But what is this CT Scan and how did you slip down the stairs?

I don't know exactly what goes on during a CT scan (also know as a CAT scan). It's like an X-Ray I think, but it looks at your organs instead of your bones. You lie on this bed thing and it moves back into this big donut-shaped thing that takes a bunch of pictures of your insides. It's kinda fun. I have been taking half of the Vicodin and I STILL threw up! Oh well, maybe it was something I ate. As for how I fell down the stairs, I was wearing socks and they are hard wood. I slipped going down on the FIRST step and I hit all of them on the way down. Ow. Thanks for the 'get-wells'. I am feeling a little better already! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif

Oohh. Socks on hardwood. Slippery then. Uhh. That stinks! I can see how you'd slide down the whole staircase and bang yourself up pretty good.. I'm sure everything will turn out well. You're nice and young so you'll heal up quickly. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif Are you allowed to take vitamins with your medication? You probably should. This way, your body is in tip-top shape to heal...

Good idea with the vitamins. I'd never thought about that. I'll go take my Flintstones chewable RIGHT NOW! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif

Hey Astrogirl...feel better! Socks on hardwood will do it every time! The other night at the show we did I found out that a pair of Capezios on ice has a similar effect! All I ended up with was a bruised butt though! Hope you get well soon....
