Just found out that he was in the Hamptons and Gary Dell'Abate's father died.

Howard didn't go to the wake and said that Beth (his girlfriend) had hurt her foot as his excuse.

Wow...the guy who helped make your career what it is for over 20 years, and you can't cut your weekend in the Hamptons short to show him some support at what's probably his lowest moment? Beth's foot couldn't handle a car ride? How about leaving her in your mansion out there and coming back on your own?

I agree with you both 100%, but that news that Howard is a self-centered prick is not going to shock anyone. :lol: Then again, do you think Gary will have enough fuzz on his peaches to quit in protest? Not likely, since he knows where his bread is buttered. Gary hasn't gotten respect from Stern or his crew for a generation, why should expect some now?

Again, I'm not defending Howard, but as just a devil's-advocate type question: If you were the Dell'Abate family would you want Stern there? Talk about distractions.

It might be better in the long run that he didn't go, because I am not sure he would have the respect due a funeral service and know enough to shut his fat f***ing mouth anyway.

Maybe he was just joking around to see the type of reaction he would get!! (I would hope anyways)
