I finally got tired of having my car needing repair, I hate car payments but after my car breaking down again during my vacation, I just bought a Ford Explorer today .

The Expeditions come with the 5.4 litre V-8, Mine only has a 4.0 litre V 6, I was driving an 8 cylinder Grand Marquis anyway so I'm used to poor gas mileage, The good news is I'm only 5-10 minutes to work and no rush hour traffic

I have a 96 Explorer. Gas prices are killing me!

I went to Toronto a couple of weeks ago (we took Jen's car). When we saw gas prices up there we thought, WOW! Prices are only $1.07 and that is Canadian money! Of course, we realised we were being idiots as they charge by the litre not the gallon which in the end comes out to be about $3.00 (US) a gallon :lol:

On the same note, we were using directions to our hotel that we got from Mapquest. It said to drive 86 miles on the QEW. We saw a sign that said "Toronto 127" and Jen said our directions must be wrong...I looked at her and said "That's kilometers not miles" :lol:

Great car! My mom has the same exact one, same color and everything. It's perfect for driving me to college since it has so much cargo space for all my stuff.
