View Full Version : So....What did you get for Valentines?
Miss INXS 2-14-06, 04:17 PM Did you get any yummy chocolates? A card? Goodies from friends and relatives? Maybe a special breakfast? Were you treated to your favorite meal?
I must say Roem made mine extra special and memorable! :vibes:
Here are a few pics of what I got from him. ^_^ First a general pic, which includes that extremely cute plush devil. It cracked me up because it also comes with a little pitchfork! LOL!! Then I got a yummy heart shaped box of assorted chocolates, a solid milk chocolate teddybear, marshmallow hearts and some "love nest" chocolate. Also, a beautiful musical snow globe with two hugging bears and floating red little hearts that says "Perfect Match" at the bottom. In addition to that, he included a beautifully crafted CD he made with a Valentines Mix, which has some great songs that we like. He also made the pretty labels and the design of the jewelled CD case, as well as the inside and the CD label! He did such a wonderful job and the CD looks so professional. And then he included one of the sweetest Valentines cards I've ever seen. Not only that, but he also added a very sweet & beautiful handwritten message inside.

*Sigh* Isn't he the sweetest? :vibes:
Hope your Valentines Day has been a happy one as well, with lots of love from those dearest to you and plenty of yummy treats to celebrate with.
And well, if you are not much into Valentines, at least you can always look forward to tomorrow and those wonderful after valentines chocolate sales! :sneaky:

KimJoy69 2-15-06, 10:06 AM I love Valentines Day! My Honey and my kids are just too awesome!! I love them to pieces!!:*
I got a BEAUTIFUL card that totally melted my heart and a beautiful box of YUUUUMMY chocolates (ok, so I've had more than a couple of pieces so far! :mwaha: ) and spent some completely awesome QUALITY :naughty: time with the love of my life. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y103/KimJoy69/love03.gifPoor thing was SO sick... but STILL totally ROCKED MY WORLD! :*
My kids gave me a biiiiig ol honkin card (it's almost as big as I am!) and a Dove chocolate rose. And they sent me a HUGE basket of daisies to my office. Best of all, they were extra sweet to me AND each other yesterday! :thumb: They came home, did their homework, helped with dinner and clean up, got their baths, and set out their clothes for the next day without me even ASKING or nagging!! Not ONCE! ...now if ONLY they would do that EVERYday!
I have THEE best four Valentines in the whole wide world!! http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y103/KimJoy69/Blinkies/love03.gif
Jazz, don't feel too bad. I don't celebrate Valentine's Day, and I'm married for cryin' out loud. I do little unexpected things for my loved ones all year long, so I don't feel that WalMart needs to tell me what day I should be giving goodies and doing nice things for my guy. It's nice to see other people doing sweet things for each other and celebrating, I don't run around like the Valentine Scrooge or anything. And you should feel my husband's relief.!!
I did, however, help my son pick out a few things to give his girlfriend. I told him I'm older, I know who loves me, but she's 14 and to not get something would just break her little heart, and all her little friends would terrorize her about it. I usually get my son a teddy bear holding a small box of chocolates. :)
Ingrid, my son got one of those huggy bears from his g/f! He ate it on the way home from school so I wouldn't eat it. :irked: Wait until I get my paws on the chocolate "I Luv U"! Mwaaahahahaha!!!
Y'all did a beautiful job on the gifts and goodies. :thumb:
PG - - is your husband King Midas or something? Shoot, girl! You get all the fanciest shiznit!

phoenix_rising 2-21-06, 04:14 AM i must say i object to the obligatory "gifts" on one day. If your in love you should randomly surprise him/her from your heart always keepin things fresh...not a BS mandatory BLAH..................much respect for those who had a "special" day I just hope you get many more before the next mando day
Miss INXS 2-21-06, 05:43 AM i must say i object to the obligatory "gifts" on one day.
Do you really think that people feel obligated? I've never felt obligated to buy a Valentines gift. Personally, the stuff I bought for Valentines wasn't something I was obligated to "give"....it's something that I WANTED to give because I love to make my guy feel special. Valentines Day is just one more 'excuse' or opportunity to plan or do something special for them. To assume that those who treat their significant other to something special on Valentines Day then go on to neglect them on reg basis is a bad idea and a rather rude one at that.
If you feel "obligated" it COULD mean that:
1) You must not be very romantic about your relationships
2) You were with someone that you didn't care to make feel special or
3) You've been hurt so bad by someone in the past that now you don't find anyone to be worth your time and bother.
If your in love you should randomly surprise him/her from your heart always keepin things fresh...not a BS mandatory BLAH.................."
And who said that's not the case for many of us? ;)
much respect for those who had a "special" day I just hope you get many more before the next mando day
To assume that most relationships are doomed to turn dull and that after awhile people won't give a damn is a bit messed up.
Just my two cents.

I get gifts all the time. It don't have to be a specific item. A song dedication, a phone call, a special note..I got my man trained. :dgrin: oops...I mean. My guy treats me good because he wants to!
I do see your point though, phoenix. ;) Infact, I even agree! Any gift is more special when it is given just because.
Congrats on your new DVD player, Jeff! Glad to hear that yours was a fun one too! :thumb:
I got three more DVDs: Hot Shots! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_Shots%21) (spoofs Top Gun), Hot Shots! Part Deux (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_Shots%21_Part_Deux) (spoofs Rambo), and Spaceballs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spaceballs) (spoofs Star Wars, among other sci-fi flicks--even Transformers: The Movie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformers:_The_Movie)).
And one videocassette: Romeo + Juliet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Shakespeare%27s_Romeo_%2B_Juliet).
So....when are we going to find out what YOU got for Ryan? Hmmm? Time for him to fess up and post a pic of his loot too! :sneaky:

You couldn't even wait to take a pic before eating 'em!? Yeesh! j/k ;)
 Actually, there were supposed to be more, but when I got the package, it was ripped open. Apparently, someone at the post office really wanted that chocolate, because that's all that was missing! Although, the purple dog was gray from all the stuffing that was stuck to it. I had to vacuum it off just so I could see what it really looked like!
