They had 3 top 10 hits between 1984 and 1987, they did pretty well when they released singles, a #9 #1 and #4. You would have thought they would have released a little more. Does anyone know a reason for this unprolificness (not that that is a word)
Because they were a product of some talented producers who didnt give them any more decent material?
For me, you can define 2 eras of Bananarama - pre SAW and post SAW.
I enjoyed the pre SAW era, when some of their singles were varied and good fun to listen to..but anything after 1986 I tended to avoid.

They had over 20 top 40 hits here in the Uk from 1982, to this year in fact.
I think they made more of an impact here and in Europe-they were pretty big during most of the 80s.
Oh, and I don't like to be rude, but they could not sing!!! Yet, their songs were still very popular over here. Post SAW their stuff was generally awful IMO, apart from a good cover of Venus. Before that, my favourite track was 'Robert De Nero's Waiting' .
It's all about 'Cruel Summer'.
Didn't care too much for their other stuff..
