This is my favorite movie of the 1980's... Infact it might be my favorite movie of all time. I still watch the movie over and over and just don't get tired of watching it. A good movie with a good 80's sound. :thumb: Love it!

It was about 20 years ago that I saw The Never Ending Story at the movie theaters... :) I was about 9 and I related so much to the character of Bastian. I love Atreyu and Falkor in the movie.


Plot:

The movie is based on Bastian, 10, who runs and hides in a bookstore from bullies. While at the bookstore, he comes upon a Book 'The Never ending Story'. Bastian takes the book and goes to the school attic to read it. There he discovers Fantasia. A world of human fantasy, fill with imaginative creatures and superb beauty. But Fantasia is being destroyed by a terrible dark force called the "Nothing." Bastian then follows a young warrior, Atreyu, on his many adventures. At the end, Bastian realizes that he is the one that can only save Fantasia.

I loved the movie when I was younger... one the best fantasy movies of the 80s for sure :cool: The sequels were pretty 'blah', but this one still holds up... got it on DVD a couple months ago... still good stuff :thumb:

The title track of this movie along with an old video I found back in '98 with 80s music videos recorded in the 80s off MTV were actually the catalysts to my 80s nostalgia... which through a series of events eventually lead me here :lol:

I loved this movie too, but I thought both sequals really sucked.
