Around 1989-90, The Thompson Twins had a hit with a song called "Sugar Daddy", Does anyone know what the title of the song was that they sampled, or the artist?

I was a big Thompson Twins fan, but I consider their last album to be "Here's To Future Days". Unfortunately, "Sugar Daddy" came after that! Can't help you on that one.

I remember this song, I think it was a song by The Tom Tom Club. It had a similar vibe.

I accidentally came across the sample that is used on "Sugar Daddy", it is a song by a group called Instant Funk, the song is "I Got My Mind Made Up".
