Miss INXS 11-02-05, 12:18 AM Wow, I wish I could paint like that! :spin:
Roemello 11-02-05, 12:30 AM I actually watched his show a few times some years back... he was definitely quite talented and made it all look so simple!
I used to watch his show all the time on PBS! :thumb:
Some of his original paintings sell for ALOT of money
He was amazing ;)
nolanbuc 11-02-05, 06:54 AM I loved Bob! I watched that show alot back then. He was always so calm and positive.
Alot of times he would be painting along, then he'd make this horrible mark on the canvas and I'd think "OMG, he has totally f'ed up this painting." But he never missed a beat, he'd make a tree or a waterfall out of it.

A childhood friend's dad used to paint with him quite often & they have several of his paintings in their house.
He had the most amazing hypnotizing voice.
Lyverbe 11-02-05, 12:44 PM "The joy of Painting" still plays here in Montreal every saturday at 2pm. I watched it for more than a decade, but as I get older, it gets harder because Bob's voice is so relaxing that I have trouble staying awake!
I have always been a fan of that show. Unfortunate that his son Steve didn't keep the show alive after Bob's death.
Bob Ross rawked!!!
I used to watch his shows all the time, I learned alot of great painting techniques from him. I will never be as good as he was but my landscape paintings are no longer a total loss lol
Caligula 11-02-05, 06:39 PM yes he is the Picasso of our generation
