We went to the World Bird Sanctuary located about 10 minutes from my home. They rescue birds who have been injured by man, nature or other animals. They have many species of birds including bald eagles which we didn't get a chance to see. We up close with a few of the other birds. Its a very beautiful place to visit! :thumb:

This pic is of an American Barn Owl. There are only 25 mating pairs left in the midwest but they are gaining in population in the west.

I was jogging on the trail that runs by the Miss river, a few miles north of the arch. A bald eagle took off about 20 yards in front of me. That was pretty cool.

I can't believe Turkey vultures are endangered. I see them all the time when I am out in the country.

I went on a field trip with my daughter a couple of years ago up there, it was just simply awesome to see bald eagles up that close!
