This pic was taken in January of this year at a Mardi Gras ball. We go to a ball every year. It's lots of fun to dance the Second Line (read: official Mardi Gras song).

There were definately more than 8 sets of beads there. They get to be really heavy when you wear that many. But don't think what you're thinking ;) . I didn't earn these beads like a person would in New Orleans. I caught them when the krewe paraded in at the beginning of the ball. :)

Ummm Errrr. You have to show a little something to get the really good beads in New Orleans. The more you show, the better the beads.


I really liked this dress too. There has only been one dress that I liked better. Maybe I'll post a pic of that one later on.
