View Full Version : My cousin's wedding...
Hubby has started scanning Robyn's wedding pictures! I've been putting them in my Y! Photos album, if anyone wants to see the source of so much of my stress from the past couple weeks. ;)
I can't believe Chris hasn't scanned any of the bride in her gown yet. !!! I told my aunt (R's mom) and she emailed back "MEN!!" LOL.
Here's the link-- enjoy! (also contains my Then and Now album and a bunch of other stuff)

Album: 1 Robyn & Tate's Wedding
All the good pix so far are in "Rehearsal" but there's some great ones of the baby in "Ceremony."
[edit] Now I'm thinking I should have posted this under my old Then and Now thread... oh well.
morningmyst 8-31-01, 03:10 PM Cool pics Mary. Thanks for sharing....now, I might be brave enough to post pics from when I was a bridesmaid back in March!!!
RetroMan 9-03-01, 10:44 AM Hi Mary C - great pictures, did you take them yourself??? weddings are stressful huh?
even for the poor bride! Mystie, what have you got to be 'brave' about with your bridesmaid pics?
I'm sure they would be terrific :)
I'm actually going to be singing at a wedding in a big cathedral in a few months, I have to wear a suit and tie my hair back and look very repectable and presentable - I certainly wont feel my normal 'retroman' self, that's for sure!! when I tie my hair back, i feel like superman without any pants on :p

Have you
seen what they make bridesmaids wear? I look like an eggplant or something! hehehe...I might show ya.....if I download it to my site....maybe... :D
The Bridesmaids dresses have tamed a bit over the years - thank god. I look horrible in coral but I'm not going there...
Mary, the bridal gown was beautiful. I wish there was some pics of you all dolled up too :)
Retroman - you'll be fine and respectable. Just think how the Cathedral will be great on the acoustics :)
thanks for sharing those, mary.
her dress was beautiful!
weddings like that are so romantic
(*sniff,sniff*)
RetroMan 9-04-01, 02:34 AM Hey Mystie, it's the great woman wearing the bridesmaid dress that makes it good, no matter what color or horrible design it is ;)

Absolutely Zel! I've already had a rehearsal in there and it sounds magnificent! I did't want to get off the mic actually :)

That all depends Retrodude! I consider my wife a hottie, but she wore a bridesmade's getup that was hilarious, to say the least!
Great pics Mary...thanx for sharing!
Thank you for the compliments everyone :) I'm sure my cousin will appreciate them. Though she'll be more like "Hey, what did they say about the baby?" LOL. New moms.
We haven't scanned any of me yet, but we will soon. I'm a little sensitive about the pix because, ah, they definitely demonstrate my need to get back into kickboxing, shall we say... :p
Thanks again everyone! My baby sister-cousin *sob* Well, she's really happy, so is her husband, and that's what counts.
Oh, some of you will appreciate this, she is also a Wiccan though she hasn't gotten into practicing yet. She didn't dare to have a Wiccan ceremony, but she really wanted to... her in-laws would have freaked, but our family would have enjoyed it.
Edit: Crap! How did that happen?? Sorry. Any mod may feel free to delete this post :o

Mary, tell her not to keep things hidden. My Mom is a right-off-the-boat Italian Catholic, and she didn't freak at all. I was VERY surprised! Better she comes clean with it then to have to always suppress things. My wife & I were married in a Catholic church, and we've always felt that it's incomplete. One of these days we'll find a Priestess to hand-fast us correctly.

Thank you, Pagan. I'll tell R. not to give up on her in-laws. Her mother's family (mine) just accepts it as part of her, and her mother believes in it too, but she's nominally Catholic. Maybe next summer for their anniversary, they'll have a handfasting. I wonder which baby I'll get to hold this time! :)
