Hi All! Just curious how many would agree with me that THIS is a nice list to start and vote upon for our favorite 80’s Divas? I sat and thought for awhile thinking about who was what KIND of Diva and so forth so here’s what I have so far: Pop/Dance Whitney Houston Madonna Cyndi Lauper Donna Summers Diana Ross Rock Pat Benatar Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac) Debra Harry (Blonde) The Heart Sisters Joan Jett Lita Ford (Both former bandmates in the all girl rock band The Runaways) So who would you add guys? The only other I would say is the #1 Diva of Music would be Marilyn Monroe for her “Happy B-Day” to Jack Kennedy & for her inspiring “Photograph” and Joe Elliott using her image to describe his feelings about her. If Van Halen had ever made a video for “I’ll Wait” I betcha Marilyn would have been David’s Object of Desire….Hehehehe…Just Kidding… :)

I think you named basically everyone! I can probably add a few dance Divas, though.. SaFire (Boy I've Been Told, Love Is On Her Mind) Cynthia (Endless Night, Change On Me) Judy Torres (Love You Will You Love Me, Love Story, Please Stay Tonight) Shannon (Give Me Tonight, Let The Music Play) There are some more but I can't think of them at the moment...

Hi Sal! Shannon 'let the music play' is the only one of those you named I am familiar with...hehehehe...but I thought this would be a good topic for the forum so I went for it! Wonder if anyone else would add any others...Happy Valentine's Day!

I am not sure of the proper definition of a Diva, but I'll go with it as I interpret... I think Madonna and Cyndi Lauper are the two most amazing women in 80s history! I do love Pat Banetar and Janet Jackson too though :) I also agree with adding the Heart sisters (Ann and Nancy). They rock!

Under the pop/dance thing I'd add Samantha Fox. My best friend was such a freak listening to that tape and trying to dance like her. Can't think of anything else..oh, wait what about Annie Lennox from Eurethymics..she rocks!!!

What about Patti Labelle, Aretha Franklin, Krissy Hines, Sade, Heart. Definitely though tina, annie and pat are the ultimate 80s ladies <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">
