View Full Version : Queensrÿche
Mirdonamy 2-16-00, 11:23 AM Queensrÿche is on tour, and I got tickets...yay! I have seen them twice now, and they kick ass every time. This is not a show to miss...even if you don't care for them that much (which would be silly of you)...but go, buy tickets now! They put on the best show next to Pink Floyd and Alice Cooper. Though I have never seen Alice Cooper. :(
Hi mirdonamy! I saw them open for Def Leppard in 87 or 88, ferget which tour it was, but they really rocked!!! I agree see this band as they kick major BUTT!!!!
Blaziegirl 2-16-00, 08:51 PM I already have my tickets too for this Friday the 25th! Where and when will you be seeing them? I'm in Cleveland we're going to see them at the Agora downtown and also plan on sticking around after the show hoping to meet them, Kelly is madly in love with Michael Wilton! She says she wants to touch that mountain LOL! :P
wykedblade 2-17-00, 02:36 AM Yup. Michael Wilton: DAMN HE'S SMOOTH!!!!!!!
Mirdonamy 2-17-00, 08:13 AM <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"> I am seeing them on March 11th (my mother's birthday...even though she passed away in 93). They were her favorite band of the 80s/90s. I will see them at Sunrise Musical Theater in Sunrise, FL...near Ft.Lauderdale. I have seen them a few times, and even met them (backstage passes from fan club, which I can't afford to be in anymore). I haven't listened to Q2K yet, even though I bought it the day it came out. I don't know where my time has gone!!!
There is a convert review of Queensryche, live at the Brixton Academy London, from the 7th February, a few weeks back. This was done by one of the site's contributors based in London UK.

AtelloBassist 2-20-00, 08:48 AM Hey Pamster, I saw them on that tour too! It was the first time I did see them, and it was for the "Mindcrime" record, supporting on the Leps' "tour in the round". But my best show was driving to Bethlehem PA to see them in an arena not much bigger than one belonging to a big high school, to see the "Building Empires" tour, where they proceeded to do the entire Mindcrime album! But after Empire, I must admit I don't like the musical direction they've taken, especially after I saw them on the Promised Land tour, and thought they sucked! I haven't bought a CD since.....But that is the cool thing about Queensryche - they never do the same thing twice - they are always experimenting, always changing - something alot of bands should think about these days.
Later!

Mirdonamy 2-26-00, 09:05 AM Blazie, tell me all about it! Did you have to sneak the camera in or were you allowed to bring them. How close were you? Did they play "Anybody Listening"...my favorite song! I want to see your pictures!!!!! I only have one picture I took of them live, that came out... www.geocities.com/SoHo/Museum/9246/music.html (http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Museum/9246/music.html ) scroll down and you will see the little picture. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">
Blaziegirl 2-28-00, 06:20 AM Hi Mirdonamy
It was great! Another good thing about this concert was the fact that Jesse James dupree of Jackyl was the opener! As with all the concert halls here, there were signs posted everywhere no cameras allowed and always I sneak mine in, I put it in a black sock at the bottom of my purse this way if they ask to look inside they wouldn't be able to see it. we were right in the front row on the left side of the stage where kellys favorite always is Michael Wilton, she loves him. They didn't play Anybody Listening <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/frown.gif ALT=":(">. There were two security guys in front of us so I didn't think I was going to be able to get any pictures but I figured what the heck it can't hurt to ask and he said sure as long as it wasn't a professional camera. I took about 35 to 40 pic's I could only take 1 roll in for developing for now I still have to finnish the second roll off, when I get them back I'll let you know <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/roll.gif ALT=":rollin"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/roll.gif ALT=":rollin"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/roll.gif ALT=":rollin"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">
WOO HOO Blaziegirl!!! LOL!!!!
Way to go Blaziegrl I hope to see these pics too <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"> I've got to say your daughter has the coolest mom! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/roll.gif ALT=":rollin">
Mirdonamy 2-29-00, 08:35 AM Oh, I have to see your pictures. My camera is huge and looks professional. I don't think I could get it in. Plus, I am not sitting close enough to get any shots from a point and click. So, I'd need my 300m lens. Eeeek. Well, let me know how your pics come out. Send me some to mirlantany@yahoo.com after you scan them (if you can), and I will post them for you on my music page. www.geocities.com/So...usic.html (http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Museum/9246/music.html ) I have to make a section for band photos. I have old photos of Warrant, Trixter, Bon Jovi, Nelson, and a few more bands <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"> Hee hee hee.
Blaziegirl 2-29-00, 09:24 PM Mirdonamy thats a good picture <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">. My camera isn't the best and also add to the fact that the stage was very high & I'm only 5'2. So I hope there decent looking. What makes me mad is the fact that I ordered a zoom lense camera over 6 weeks ago and I didn't get it yet!!! I'll be getting the pictures today but I won't be able to scan them until later tonight <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/roll.gif ALT=":rollin">
Sal Collaziano 3-01-00, 01:46 PM Oh, Mirdonamy! I just realized something. And by the way, thanks for that link! That's a very nice compliment! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"> Can you change the link URL though? It brings ya to the old server and page. The new one is www.80sxchange.com but the old one www.sky-signs.com/80s/index.htm is there. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"> Thanks again!!
Mirdonamy 3-02-00, 05:53 AM Thanks for reminding me Sal. I will try to do that tonight. I have been meaning to change it, but when I am home I always forget. Eeeek. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">

Mirdonamy 3-02-00, 08:15 AM Blazie, your pictures came out great! Oh, I can't wait to see them! I hope I can sneak up close. I am in Row R. Yuk! I have never seen them from that far away. Last time it was General Admission. I may try to sneak my sister's small camera in. It is not a great camera though <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/frown.gif ALT=":("> Wow, I am so excited! Woo Hoo! March 11th, here I come!
Poison PJ 3-10-00, 08:01 AM I think Q2k is one of the best rock albums of '99. The song "Sacred Ground" as a totally awsome groove.
Mirdonamy 3-11-00, 04:55 AM I have listened to the album a few times now, and that song always seems to be the one stuck in my mind when the album is over. I am so excited! It is tonight! Yay for Queensrÿche! I am not sure if I will try to get my camera in tonight or not. I am so excited! I don't have any money, but I will borrow some from my sister to buy a shirt. I am a t-shirt girl...always buying shirts at good shows! <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON STOP--> Fun fun fun!
