Sal Collaziano 12-02-99, 03:46 AM Not that I don't want to participate here - I like this topic! I just don't have the time to go through it right now.. I don't even know where to begin! I will get to it though... :)
br4flair 12-02-99, 08:08 AM I'm sure I'm gonna leave a ton of stuff out. Firehouse: Love Of A Lifetime Motley Crue: Girls, Girls, Girls Faster Pussycat: Slip Of The Tongue White Lion: Wait Warrant: Cherry Pie Cinderella: Nobody's Fool Ratt: Round And Round Twisted Sister: We're Not Gonna Take It Poison: Nothing But A Good Time Bon Jovi: Never Say Goodbye These guys didn't wear makeup as far as I know (that makes it glam for me), but fall into that whole 80's "metal" thing as the bands I listed above: Whitesnake: Here I Go Again Def Leppard: Animal Tesla: Love Song Skid Row: I Remember You Ok, that was fun!!!
Sal Collaziano 12-03-99, 06:36 AM Those are all great titles! I only have a couple of specific names I'd like to mention now because I don't normally think of them but I am right now.. Ahh, let's see: Blue Murder (Ahh, I forget the name of the song) Bonham - Wait for You (remember that one?!) Great White - The Angel Song, (damn, which is the other big ballad?) I'll have a zillion more one day.....
br4flair 12-03-99, 08:44 AM I forgot about Blue Murder! Wasn't that John Sykes of Whitesnake? I think they had a song called "Keeper of The Keys" and another called "Jelly Roll"(?). I really liked "Wait For You". Kind of surprised they didn't get bigger. "Rock Me" was another cool Great White song! BR
Mirdonamy 12-03-99, 09:29 AM I love "Rock Me." I completely forgot that song existed. Thanks! :) And I have seen Great White three times (on accident...they were the opening band three times).
Europe - Cherokee Kiss - Naked City Motley Crue - Home Sweet Home Whitesnake - Here I go Again Accept - Balls to the Wall AC/DC - Hells Bells Deep Purple - Perfect Strangers Alice Cooper - He's Back(the Man Behind the Mask) Def Leppard - Too Late for Love Survivor - Burning Heart Scorpions - Rock You Like a Hurricane Ozzy - Shot in the Dark

Sal Collaziano 1-10-00, 06:15 AM Yeah, I'm not all rock either! I saw you mention Roxette on that list.. I love two of her songs.. Listen To Your Heart and It Must Have Been Love Kinda wierd for a guy who loves Anthrax, King Diamond, Death, hehehe. :) I even listen to Classical sometimes.. I'll have a cassette in my car with heavy metal, then I'll pop it out and the Classical radio station is on.. hehe It's like a real silence of the lambs kind of thing! hehehehe
Mirdonamy 1-10-00, 10:15 AM I love how awesome it is for us 80s kids to be so musically diverse! I will be listening to DJ Jazzy Jeff and change the station and hear Metallica's "Seek and Destroy" and be so happy! I will be singing to Fleetwood Mac and two minutes later to Slayer, Linda Ronstad (from American Tail), Pink Floyd, Salt N' Pepa, Janis Joplin, and even Donna Summer! So, I congradulate us all on being so cool and diverse. I think it helps us be diverse with many other things in life too!
Sal Collaziano 1-11-00, 05:05 AM You've got that right, Mirdonamy! I thought I was the only one who could be so diverse.. Hey, by the way.. You wouldn't happen to have a good MP3 of Donna Summers, "This Time I Know It's For Real" would you? I've been looking for a good version for a long time......
Mirdonamy 1-11-00, 06:09 AM No, not now...but my sister has most of her music. I will see if she has any. I live with her, so that won't be hard. Anyhow, when I get a chance...I will convert it to MP3 for you. Give me a week and a few reminders if you don't mind :)
Sal Collaziano 1-11-00, 08:15 AM Oh, thank you! I will.. In the meantime, I forgot! I was suppose to make tapes! 80's dance tapes! Uhh! Things have been slipping my mind.. I can't wait until this business gets up off the ground. I'll be able to relax, for once! hmm :|
hysteria 1-25-00, 02:24 PM The most forgotten one of all time, Dokken: It's Not Love, Alone Again, etc. Def Leppard (GODS! ALL HAIL!): Photograph, Pour Some Sugar On Me, Action, Stand Up (Kick Love Into Motion), Rock! Sal Collaziano 1-25-00, 03:40 PM Hi, Hysteria! Welcome to the community! All great songs you mentioned there! I have a funny question, though.. Did Dokken sing "In My Dreams"? If not - who did? I see you're a big Def Leppard fan.. I just went out and bought "Vault". I haven't listened to it yet. Most songs I already know, but.. Some I don't..
Rockergirl 1-27-00, 06:05 PM LILLIAN AXE---Diana, Dream of a Lifetime, Ghost of Winter, No Matter What, NobodyKnows STEELHEART---I'll Never Let You Go, Everybody Loves Eileen, She's Gone, Down and Dirty DANGER DANGER---Shot of Love, Tip of my Tongue, Don't Break My Heart Again, Everybody Wants Some There are just so many, I have to stop! HAHA!
Sal Collaziano 1-28-00, 07:35 AM Hey, Rockergirl! No! Keep going! :) The more songs mentioned here, the more I can go look for and get to know.. I missed a lot of great music in the 80's so I have much catching up to do!
Mirdonamy 1-28-00, 09:43 AM I like your lists! I must say that "Cherry Pie" is far from a good Warrant song (in my opinion), but hey Warrant is still awesome! I love Steelheart too! And I don't know much of Danger Danger, but Ted Poley was so hot...I had posters of him everywhere! I remember Lilian Axe...I only heard one song by them that I liked though, and it was a Beatles cover. But, I would be willing to give them another chance. I really need to spend some time with Glam. I miss it. I still listen to Warrant and Bon Jovi a lot, but I have not listened to anything else lately :( What is wrong with me!
Sal Collaziano 1-28-00, 01:08 PM I like Cherry Pie! hehe I like the rythmn and everything. :) But to each his/her own.. Most of their songs, that I like, come from DRSFR...
I remember the song "In my Dreams", if I'm not mistaken it was by Rainbow. Ayla
Sal Collaziano 1-31-00, 09:38 AM Hi, Ayla! Welcome to the community! Hmm. I seem to remember a few different "In My Dreams". One went like "In my dreams it's still the same. Our love is strong and still remains". Right? Something like that.. that's the only one I know..

I listened to so much back then (and still do)here's a condensed list LOL Aerosmith - Rag Doll Alice Cooper - everything by him, I still love all the tunes (I'm Eighteen) Bon Jovi - In & Out of Love Deep Purple - Knocking at your Back Door ? Sal Collaziano 1-31-00, 01:02 PM Dokken! That's right.. Okay. :) All those songs you mentioned up there are great too.. Good choices! I first heard I'm Eighteen sung by Anthrax, though. It's alittle bit faster...

Mirdonamy 2-08-00, 09:49 AM About Alice Cooper, I love him too! Anyone heard "Ballad of Dwight Frye"? That is my favorite Alice Cooper song off my favorite Alice Cooper album, Love it to Death. Blue Murder...would that tune be Jelly Roll??

I'll be yours forever if you just beleive in me.
Anyway you want me, boy, my love I'll give to you
I was born to love you, take me anyway you choose.

Poison PJ 3-09-00, 06:53 AM I wish the 80's would cme back and stay forever because the 90's really sucked the big one.
I was only 7 when Poison first came out, and at the time all I listened to was Micheal Jackson's "Thriller" album. But since '86 i've been a metalhead. Throughout the past 8 or 9 years I've taken sooo much crap about listeing to Glam Rock/Metal. I've had people try to shove Grunge crap down my throat. But I will never
give up on Rock.
Blaziegirl 3-09-00, 11:43 AM My list would take up to much time to put here!!! Poison PJ, You know what drives me insane pulling up next to a car at the stop light and hearing that crap blasting in your face. So when ever I can, I do the same thing and I hope it bothers them to <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :rollin --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/roll.gif ALT=":rollin"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON STOP-->
