View Full Version : What is GOING ON?!?! :)
Sal Collaziano 4-11-00, 04:03 AM Poison, Cinderella, Dokken, Slaughter, Van Halen (with David Lee Roth), Megadeth... Who am I missing? Bon Jovi with a new album that sounds like his older work.. Alice Cooper with a new album that's supposed to be his heaviest ever.. Iron Maiden going on tour with Bruce Dickinson on tour (right?)...
This is really impressive... Please add to this list! Even if it's not glamrock.. Who else is touring that was big in the 80s?
Blaziegirl 4-11-00, 04:18 AM Mötley Crüe is touring with Megadeth, Dio is out on tour and Quiet Riot will be here in Cleveland on May 12th. Not to mention KISS/Ted Nugent/Skid Row is on tour (but it's KISS' Farewell Tour so that's kinda good/bad). Life would be great if I had the money to go to all these shows!!! I am going to try an make it to the Quiet Riot show One more addition to the list Queensr˙che added 3 more shows to the Q2K tour at the House Of Blues in LA. I'll be very happy if they come back here HUBBA HUBBA
Blaziegirl 4-11-00, 05:09 AM Oh yeah here's more, The Who will be in Cleveland on September 30th and Jimmy Page/The Black Crowes play here on October 1st. The reason they are touring together The Who/Page and Crowes is because they are sharing the same road crew..
Rumored News: These bands may tour together: Korn, Metallica and Kid Rock...
Gunner Girl 4-11-00, 10:56 AM I've heard that the original L.A. Guns line-up has reunited & are in the studio. Anyone know if there is any truth to this? Doro (former lead vocalist of Warlock) is getting ready to release a new album. Slash played on some of the tracks. Can't wait to hear it.
Pantera's new album is really great, IMO.
Metal is back!!! Look out teeny-boppers of the world!!
Sal Collaziano 4-11-00, 12:09 PM Korn, Metallica, and Kid Rock... What a joke.
I had to look twice at your post Sal because one of these bands should not be with the others can you tell me which one before my song is done... LOL
Blaziegirl 4-11-00, 04:38 PM That would probably be Kid Rock
Rockergirl 4-12-00, 01:37 AM Hey, I like Kid Rock! Styx, Survivor and Reo Speedwagon are coming here soon, so they must be touring as well. LA Guns was just here a few days ago. Nelson is here this weekend.
Sal Collaziano 4-12-00, 08:22 AM Metallica would be the band that didn't fit in that list. (I know you knew Zel) hehe. Korn and Kid Rock cater to this generations liking of heavy metal. Metallica does not fit into this category at all... Although with Load and ReLoad, they tend to be close.
The whole 'joke' of this matter is that Metallica of old days, was by far, the leader of heavy metal design and innovation. Today, they are just another Kid Rock or Korn.
Blaziegirl 4-12-00, 10:41 AM Rockergirl, I heard Nelson went country (true or false)? I'm not much of a country music lover except for Garth Brooks I like his voice and his music. As for Nelson no matter what they sing I would go see them! I tried to get info on them in the past and never found any, do you have any information on their tour schedule? Also do you know when Neil Zaza will be coming to Cleveland, Ohio? As for Kid Rock I like him to, but not many people here do
I don't like country but I like Garth Brooks too We have a fantastic cover band for him that does Ontario called Fresh Horses and the guy looks, dresses and sounds like him. Garth will never come north of Toronto so this is the next best thing. I HATE shania twain because we've been overloaded with her here. She's from a town that's about 3 hours north of here but she came to Sudbury to start her tour because we were a bigger venue It was a huge money grab.
Rockergirl 4-18-00, 10:04 PM If you have heard Nelson's CD BECAUSE THEY CAN, I think that's pretty close to their sound. Neil is touring East right now. Go to www.neilzaza.com or email him directly at neilzaza@aol.com and find out when he will be playing there.
Blaziegirl 4-19-00, 03:35 AM Thanks for the info, Rockergirl :)
Poison PJ 4-19-00, 07:12 AM Yes it's true the orginal LA Guns are back. From what I here They re-recorded the whole "Cocked & Loaded"
Album, and there now working on a new album.
"I'll Never Grow Up, I'll Never Grow Old,
Blame It On The Love Of Rock and Roll"
Sal Collaziano 4-19-00, 08:07 AM Cool.. Can you name me some of LA Guns best songs? Is "Ballad of Jane" one of theirs?
