I invite you all to check out a new band called PASSION RISK. They are a new hard rock band that sounds a lot like the old 80s hair bands we all love. Their CD can be ordered at www.metalmayhem.com

Rocker, do they have a website by any chance? I'm trying to get some of these bands to advertise their sites here. This way, in time, 80'sXChange could be a place for bands to come and advertise their music. If all works well, it will attract radio stations to come here to look for good music...

Hey, Sal, I saw the post on these guys, and went to check them out....I tried downloading a song, but since it was taking a while, and it is getting late, I gave up until tomorrow.....However, I see that they are from the New York area like ourselves, but I must say, I've never run into, let alone heard of them until now...I will say this - It's great to see that there is another band who shares mine and my band's idea of great melodic hard rock, and are trying to slug it out in this world, where bands like Korn and Limp Bizkit are what the kids want to hear.....hopefully, we can hook up with them, and together help cross promote ourselves AND melodic hard rock! The music scene around here, not to mention our genre of rock is too tough to make headway in unless we all help each other, don't ya think? Until later, R.A. www.Atello.com

Hey Rockergirl, question for ya.....Are you personal friends with these guys? I went to their web page, and I didn't see any show dates for them (then again, I've been known to be blind like that).....I'd like to go see them live, and meet them, they sound like cool guys......If you are, let me know, and however you can hook me up with them, that would be cool! Thanks, R.A. http://www.Atello.com

Hey, R.A. I know Band Central Station. Ever hear of them? I'm doing their website now.. I can probably hook you up with them. It is very true that these rock bands need to stick together. Band Central Station has some really good songs. I've known of them for awhile now and they're first album, "Now Arriving", will be out in a month or so.. My point is, I just ran into you guys and B.C.S. doesn't take anything away from you's (and vise verse). You's are both great and I'm glad you're BOTH here. We all need to work together to get things going.. I mean, really.. Think about it.. We can all afford to spend $15.00 each for a few CD's...

Hey Sal! I actually came accross them on a page called Heart Of The Rock, http://www.heartoftherock.com from Australia, that recently contacted us to do a review..... I'm gonna go check them out in more detail tomorrow if not tonight, and yeah, that would be great if we could all hook up somehow. I'm glad you agree - your right, we all need to stick together and help each other out as much as we can! Till later, R.A. http://www.Atello.com [edited to fix link] [p.s. something went terribly wrong]

Cool. I'm glad there's a possibility of getting yous together.. We really do need to get rock/metal back on the airwaves. It's great music. It's ridiculous that Rock (kinda considered an American music) is the only kind of music barely on the radio. There's plenty of Latin, Hip Hop, R&B, etc.. No rock?!

I just email with JC Repp, the bass player of Passion Risk. I don't know them....YET! I intend to fix that this year though. LOL! You can email them at passionrisk@hotmail.com and ask them if they have any shows scheduled.

'Morning, Sal! Timing is everything! I just got an email from that Autralian web page, saying that he'll have our review up in a few days, AND wants to do an interview with us.....I mentioned and plugged 80's Xchange, and mentioned that you were working with B.C.S.......it's a small world! I'm going to try and e-mail the guys in B.C.S....... Your're right, it's amazing that rock is HUGE and on the radio in just about every other continent, EXCEPT ours! You'd think the powers that be would get the hint....... Till later, R.A. http://www.Atello.com

Hey, Ralph. What's doing? I received and e-mail from them too. But! Wait one sec. They are a New Zealand based site! :) (Just to clear things up) We're on the right track here. We need to get everyone together to form one huge voice. One of the objectives of 80'sXChange is to gather up a very large amount of people so we can say "Hey, look. We're here. Remember us?". This includes up and coming bands like Atello and Band Central Station. You guys are the rock bands of (now and) the future... Since we have the internet now, we can build up a worldwide community. Maybe one day people will come here to check out the up and coming rock bands. People in all countries can come here and find out about rock music from all over the world.

Found this old post on a net search, not even sure if this board still exists. Had to say, though, JC Repp and I have been together now for two years, living together here in Las Vegas for over a year, and are getting married in Sept of this year. Weird, huh? I'd never even met him when I posted this old stuff. HAHA!!
