Hey. This is odd.. To me anyway.. Okay, thanks for listening.. hee hee Just kidding. What I really wanted to say is this... I looked up Slaughter and Firehouse just a moment ago and they both have new albums for 1999. There are SO MANY 80's bands that were kinda silent for awhile that have albums this past year. I think this is a real sign of a comeback... Or an attempt at one... I wish there was something we could do. They are trying! It seems almost obvious..

I can't say I blame many 80s bands for keeping silent and riding out the garbage that was dished out in the early 90s. Not every band was bad but the whole sound was different. What is great about all the comebacks now is my son is at least old enough now to come to concerts with us (if something good comes up north lol)

I just hope they've got some good stuff hidden away for us... Imagine all the good music we never heard because some stupid executives thought it wasn't keeping up with the times!

The only problem with 80s bands making a comeback is that we have such great expectations of them. We want them to be as good as they were when we loved them. I know personally, that each album Warrant puts out gets worse and worse. I love them still, but really don't go to see them when they play in town. I don't want my perfect image of them from my teen years to be wiped away by what they are now (even if it is good). Do you think I am nuts?

Ahhhh... Nope! You're not nuts... Hey, these guys can definatly make good music. They are just conforming to what the new crowd wants. They don't realize that we still want to hear them the way they play best. They just don't know it. We're not the kids out there going to the concerts. But we should be.. There are plenty of new bands coming up playing GlamRock. I gave an example here somewhere last night. When you find it, go listen to the song I mentioned... They can do it - they just don't know that we want it...

Actually, I was just starting my 20s when Warrant hit the scene & I like their stuff. I saw them on tour w/ Trixter & Firehouse. Warrant was EXCELLENT !!!! They put on a great show !!! Anyway, I just saw they had a disc out w/ their hits & new tunes.

Oh, I forgot about Trixter. I don't know much about them... I was about 17 when Warrant started getting popular. I'm pretty sure atleast. I haven't heard their latest album. It should be good since it's got their hits though. I wonder what the new songs sound like..

I sure feel young here. DRFSR came out when I was 13, but who better to obcess about a rock band than a young girl! Well, I am way drunk right now being the day after thankgiving with my best friend in town, so forgive any silly typing. Anyhow, Warrant isnt' good now. I have seen them and heard them in the past two years. THey suck now. They used to rock, and that is what I remember! I love them for that wonderful time! :)

Yeah, I've heard that Warrant isn't any good anymore too.. They were at a local club a couple of years ago, though, on Long Island. I didn't go, though, as I wasn't as in to GlamRock as I am now...

Last time I saw them was at the Button South in Hallandale, FL. Slammin Gladys opened up for them. It was probably 95'. They were aweful. We loved Slammin Gladdy's though. Jani Lane has a bar in Orlando that lots of glam bands play at. he works there when he's not on tour. I have always wanted to go. Oh about Trixter...you didn't miss much. They were cute boys, but I can't even remember their songs. I guess it wasn't so memorable after all. I remember liking them though, but now that I look back it seems like they were just poster boys.

Okay, Trixter.. I'll have to go out and get a poster or something so I can model myself after them when my hair gets long again. bah! hehe Hmm.. Jani Lane has his own bar, huh? Cool.. That's great that he has bands play there and stuff. Cool... :) In Orlando.. I love Florida. I will have to go there one day and check it out... Thanks :) Too bad he's no good anymore, though.. He was pretty damn good when he was in his band prime...

Talking of comebacks..... Poison had a tremendous tour this summer! :-) And they go into the studio for a record, over the Christmas holidays. I can't wait!!! Also their shelved CD Crack A Smile is coming out in February 2000 so we'll have two Poison records next year! BTW, I am new user, I live in Pakistan (surprise!) :) and Poison is my absolute fav!!!!

Welcome, Ayesakara! Cool, we can hear about stuff in Pakistan now. :) You can tell us about the music scene and stuff over there.. I wasn't lucky enough to go to any of the Poison concerts (I did have plans to) but I know they did very well. Well enough with the younger audience (with their same style) to make a new album. So yes, there will be two albums coming soon. That is very cool.. :)

The music scene in Pakistan is very.. mixed. :) All kinds of styles are followed. I can listen to any kind, but Rock n' roll is my fav. I also was not able to see Poison, since.. well... I live so far away. :) But I will get my chance one day! Rock n' roll forever!

That would be cool.. I'm sure you'd like it here... There's good and bad everywhere you go. What are ya gonna do, ya know? But it's overall a nice play to be...
