I'm trying to put some Music on my web page to start playing when it opens, but I just can't figure it out. I'm new at this HTML stuff. Sal Collaziano 11-21-99, 03:47 PM Okay, well let's see.. I'm pretty sure that MIDI type music starts playing right away, but you need a MIDI player while visiting the website to hear it.. Ahh, a regular .wav file is probably the best way to go. I'm not a pro on web-music so I don't know if I could give you the greatest advice. How big is the file you are looking to use? The larger the file the longer it takes to load up. Visitors with cable modems will be able to open up 1meg files right away, but 56k visitors wont hear anything for a few minutes..... If the file is small, that's a different story... I will try to help if I can. Blaziegirl 12-26-99, 02:52 PM Anybody out there know where I can get the Studio Version of "War Machine" by Kiss? Sal Collaziano 12-28-99, 04:26 AM Hey, Blaziegrl.. Did you get the music to work? I can't tell where I am right now... And it says I need a newer version of Real Player, so... I can't get that here either.. Otherwise, it's very easy to put MIDI files into your background. And they download and play almost instantly - like the one on the homepage of this website.. They are very small so they don't take more than a few seconds to download. They don't sound as great as the actual music, but they're okay.. Blaziegirl 12-28-99, 10:32 AM Hi Sal, I'm pretty sure it's working now. other people have told me they can hear it. I used the newest version of Real Jukebox to make the song then I put it through the Real Producer G2 to make it streaming music. I have Real Player 7.0 I can pull the music from my FTP space and it also plays for me that way to, so I'm sure if you were able to download the Real Player 7.0 you would be able to hear it. Do you have the newest version of RP on your home computer? ~Rose~ Sal Collaziano 12-29-99, 03:02 AM Hi, Rose. :) Nope! I don't have the latest version of RealPlayer.. I will have to downloaded and check it out. You definatly know more about the music stuff than I do, though.. :) Hopefully, I will see this message when I get home and it will remind me to download it! Blaziegirl 12-29-99, 11:20 AM Thanks for building my EGO lol :O) I'm still learning. Who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks... <img src=http://www.animfactory.com/animgifs/misc/nature2/redroseCLR.gif> Sal Collaziano 12-30-99, 05:09 AM Hey, that's cool. A rose...
