Probably had something to do with their "appearance" on Family Guy.

Yep! Plus the lead singer was on some talk show... I think Ellen? :) I really see them being reborn and topping the chats here in the US.

No I dont think it is beacuse of their appearance on Family Guy or Ellen.

They are from Norway (I think) and they are an icon there... so a free concert would not surprice me to bring lots of people to see them. :)

People

Allow me to enlighten you a little bit...................................

1. Yes they are from Norway

2. Large audiences is nothing new to a-ha. In 1991 they set a world record playing for the largest paying audience in the world, 198 000 people in Rio de JAneiro.

In the late 80's, earlie 90's they played many concerts over 100 000. During their tour of South America in 1991 they played for over 3 million people in a month ( paying audience )

And still today after almost 25 years inthe business they play for between 10 000 - 20 000 and ocationally over that and towards 70 000.

So this is nothing new and has certainly nothing to do with Family Guy.

The only place where a-ha has never really gotten acceptance for their musicstyle is in the American musicindustry. They have a lot of fans in the USAand Canada, but not with the recordlabel.

a-ha has been touring and releasing new music from 1985 to the present. They had a pause between 1994 - 1998 when they did solo stuff. They signed a new 3 album contract last year. The first of the 3 albums will be released shortly. it will be their 8 studio album.

a-ha has sold 70 million albums and singles worldwide.
