I have a list of wrestling schools, but the closest out of all of them is The Monster Factory in NJ. I also found a webpage with info on some schools, and the info on the school I just mentioned is on this page as well
http://www.spinebuster.com/school.htm
Hope this helps

If you're really serious about getting into the business, you may want to travel out of state anyway to get into the best school possible. It's a long tough road to the promised land with as tough odds of success as winning the lottery Good luck!

The monster factory has a decent reputation. I would look for a school that also runs thier own promotion. This lets you learn as you go, and get some good ring time once they feel you are ready. Be ready to dedicate yourself to a life of hunger, and pain, but if you really want it, best of luck! My step dad used to be a jobber in the memphis area, was trained by Phil Hickerson, who is one tough sonofabitch! Part of thier "training" was to chop wood, all day long. That built thier strength. It also got Phil a nice pile of wood each day to sell as fire wood. Of course, that is besides the point. Train hard, and best of luck!

I also wanted to be a pro wrestler while growing up. I am pretty big, well not KANE big, but I am bigger than Y2J and a lot of others. I took acting classes and also took drama in high school, so I could talk onthe mic well. Mind you, this was like 1986/7 and wrestling was nowhere near as big as it is today. But, after meeting a lot of guys in the biz, they told me basically that it wasnt worth it, unless you had money in the bank that you could live off of for a couple of YEARS. (this came straight from Jerry Lawler) I needed to make a living, and could not dedicate myself to the rigors of "paying my dues" for 3 or more years without anything to show for it. If you read the ROCK's book, it tells about being poor and trying to break in, his and Mick Foleys book. I would recommend you reading Foley's book and see what it takes just to get your foot in the door!

I believe that Spike went to the house of hardcore, the ECW run school, but I may be wrong. That school is closed now.

Whatever you decide, best of luck!

Wrestiling is the only choice for me. I know about the rigors and being poor.It is the only life for me.even if the book of mick foley tried to discourage me it wouldnt stop me.Thanks for the warning though.Like i said ill sdo it even if it kills me.also i think the school was in texas. :0 :0)
