Ok...I've decided to give wrestling a try...now, my question is.....when is it on? And what station? And which is better???

Monday at 9pm on TNN. Think you'll like it Myst. It's a lot of fun. Plus it's pretty much the only one right now.

WWF.com has this search engine thingie; all you have to do is enter your zip code and it tells you where you can find Raw Is War in yer area - that's the show that's on Mondays at 9pm. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif

Dawn, when you start watching, you will need to know the story lines, The WWF is pretty good about recapping the major story lines (they call them "ANGLES"). The action is getting a little better, but recently their is a lot more story telling going on, more talking, etc. If you need a hand learining what is going on, drop me an email.

I'm saddened by the current state of wrestling. About a year ago you could watch wrestling 6 nights a week. Monday was Raw and Nitro, Tuesday was nothing, Wednesday was Thunder, Thursday was Smackdown, Friday was ECW on TNN (my favorite), Saturday was Saturday night WCW, and Sunday was Heat. Now I only have Heat and Raw http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//frown.gif I don't get UPN anymore http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//frown.gif again

DJDAFFY Check your local WB lisitngs, a lot of WB stations have an agreement to show the SMACKDOWN show on saturdays.

I miss ECW as well.

Erie PA, I remember thier old ECHL hockey team, the Panthers.

The Panthers were cool. Our hockey team now is with the OHL (Ontario Hockey League) They were regular season champs but lost to the Plymouth Wailers in the playoffs http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//frown.gif

The Erie Seawolves (AA Baseball, Detroit's team) are currently in first also.

I loved ECW in it's heyday...basically between 1993 and 1999 I believe...lost interest after all my favorites left. I think I started to stop watching when Taz left...just lost it's luster for me after that http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//tongue.gif I have tapes full of the greater days...all these stars you see in WWF before they got there http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif and their very first PPV which is still awesome to watch http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//biggrin.gif

There's another hardcore organization I hear is doing quite well.....XPW down in L.A.

Vampiro was the most underused talent in WCW in the past 3 or 4 years, and that is saying someting! He has all kinds of potential.

ECW was what made me watch again after the early 90s killed wrestling. I remember sitting on the ship on a duty day and my friend brought in a tape and popped it in, it was right in the middle of the Raven and Sandman fued. The angle was so intriguing, and the action so hot, I was hooked. Soon after that, I was peeking in on Monday night and then I became a full blown addict again.

I would love to see some of those tapes Roem!

djdaffy, I sw teh Panthers play in norfolk virginia, and that game had the best fight I have ever seen. Living in St Louis, we have the blues (who I hate) and we also have another minor league team here. But I havent been to a game yet in the 2 years since I have been here.
