I'm a fan of all things 80's, but especially Kim Wilde, pouitng sex goddess of the era. A little weird, because being a very young child, I wasn't into her at all at the time.

Anyway do you guys like her? My favourite period of hers would have to be Another Step, with You Keep Me Hangin' On, and Close, which had classics like You Came, Never Tust a Stranger. She also looked hit in this era About 87 to 89.

Strange how she is almost thought of as a one hit wonder, but she had tonnes of hits!

My opinion on Kim is: awesome. I have all her albums and vids. It is not only her 80's stuff that I like, but also her resent song, Born to be Wild and her duet with Nena.

Yeh, Kids In America was how I first got into Kim too. I find there's just more and more great songs to discover with her. And yeh, she was hot -can still be when she wants to be.

Kim Wilde is one of my all-time favorites. I bought the "Kids In America" single and then took the plunge and picked up her self-titled album. I was blown away- all the songs were tremendous in quality. In my opinion, her best was "Teases and Dares". If you're into 80's new wave, this one is a must have! The song "Fit In" penned by Kim herself is especially poignant. It's kind of how I felt in high school.
I always felt like the early Kim Wilde songs were my little secret- especially in my small, Midwestern hometown. I remember putting Kim Wilde as my favorite performer under my picture in my 1986 senior yearbook. Kim was just the best in the 80's and thanks for the thread so I can recall these memories...

No problem -yeh Teases is a big fan favourite. I can't understand why 'The Touch' didn't do better in the UK -its awesomely catchy. The image was pure 80's too.

As before -you are all very welcome to join ego -since I was here last we've had something of a make-over and seem to be quite a bit busier. Definitely a good time to come and join the fun -especially in the evenings. :)
