Hey the BigDawg is in the House again, and I am looking for a list of the Hip-Hop/Rap songs that charted for 1980 - 1989 anything that hit the top 100..The station I work for is working on doing a friday Night show called The Eighties Once Again. and I need to get some huge lists compiled so they can get the music for me. So if any of you kind 80's fans, such as I am, will be willing to help.. I would be eternally greatful to you all.
Also if you know of any sites that offer lists of songs from the 80's for Pop/hip-hop/rap/r&B/Hard Rock/Metal then please post them here too.. They want all Rock/Pop related songs for this show..
Thanks In Advance

There are all of the raps to reach hot 100 in the 80's. Not a very impressive list in my opinion. There were other songs to have raps in them or that could be considered urban but I just went with full raps. Most of the well remembered raps were big on the R&B charts but not pop. Hope this research helps Bigdog.
I may have missed some, I just did a really quick search in one of my books.

I used two books actually. I got all the songs from Joel Witburn's book of Billboard charts of the 80's and then looked for their year and highest position in Joel Witburn's Top Pop book 1955-1999.

If you would like me to. I will look up all the charted raps on the R&B charts of the 80's. It might take me awhile but it would intrest me too. I have Joel Witburn's book of Top R&B singles 1944-1999 as well.
