For me at least it is definitely:

1) Shatner Sings - William Shatner's god-awful 60s album. It wasn't even intended as a joke. There are lots of sites dedicated to this gem but if you are not familiar with it check this one out:

http://www.shatnerrocks.com/

2) The album by the shlock metal guy named Thor "Keep The Dogs Away". His entire career was dreadful. Always appearing on television blowing up hotwater bottles and such. This site dedicated to Thor is kinda fun:

http://www.troopertribute.com/thor.htm

3) There are lots of choices for the three-spot. I had a tough time deciding but I'm going with "Bud the Spud" by Stompin' Tom Connors". He's legendary in Canada but many of you have probably never heard him. He writes songs with the complexity and maturity of a kid in first year kindergarten.

His official site, if you care, is:

http://www.stompintom.com

I narrowly chose Stompin' Tom over any number of recent Cliff Richard albums. Have you guys seen his official site? It's so tacky - streaking stars around his name and photos that make him look like he has a halo.

http://www.cliffrichard.org

Even though I'm calling these awful, I still get a kick out of them.

My worst list:

!. Meddazzaland - Duran Duran (this had to be their only bad album)

2.Full Moon, Dirty Hearts - INXS
(very dissapointing album from a band who always had good albums)

3. Any Cure albums after "Wish".

4.Motley Crue albums without Vince Neil.

OK, Not Man. I have to ask. Did you really buy that Pat Boone album? I don't own any of these albums. I gotta say, though, that I have bought albums that are awful except for one song. When i think of some names, I'll come back.

Me buy that cd?? I never even considered it, but I did look at it to see the track listing. My curiosity did get the better of me so I downloaded ONE track and I couldn't even listen to the whole thing. I VERY quickly deleted it from the hard drive.

I did buy Metallica's cd but after listening to it I had the urge to play frisbee with it.

I do not own anything buy Kid Rock or Eminem (?sp) and don't plan on buying anything from them either. It's just the thought of them trying to make music...if that's what they call it.

***WARNING*** THIS WILL NOT BE POPULAR AT ALL

I think New Jersey by Bon Jovi is the biggest piece of crap. Here is a very talented group singing cheesey ass songs like "You're love is like bad medicine" and "I'll be there for you, these five words I swear to you"...."I wish I'd seen you blow the candles out". The group was too talented but didn't use it on this album. I can't say I blame them. At the time Jon Bon Jovi could've farted on the record and it would've sold a million. Same happend to Garth Brooks on his sevens album where the only good song was "Belleau wood". My word to mega superstars is this, TAKE YOUR TIME. quality is better than quantity.

Yes, I forgot to add those, Not Man. I do not like that kind of music either. I hate when they try to call theirselves "metal". That is not metal.

Don't worry about offending me I am the one that ususlly offends someone. Just because you voice your opinion doesn't mean that it's right and my opinion doesn't mean it's right. you know what they say....An opinion is like an @sshole....everybody has one.

True Colors-Cyndi Lauper (1986)

This album is a piece of crap, and while it still sold ok after the mega success of She's So Unusual, she lost most of her fan base after the True Colors album. Many just didn't take her seriously anymore.

Tropico- Pat Benatar (1984)

Sarg, I know you are a diehard fan of hers, and I am too, but this album just doesn't do it for me. I love Pat when she rocks. This was a more mellow album. It just doesn't sound good. Luckily she quickly followed it up with 1985's Seven The Hard Way, a great album.

Human Touch - Bruce Springsteen (1992)

Bruce had split with the great E Street Band for this album, and they were sorely missed here. Ask any Springsteen fan what is the worst album of his, and they will tell you that it is Human Touch. This one hardly reached the hights that previous albums Born In The USA and Tunnel Of Love had. Luckily, Bruce is back with the E Streeters now and a new album should be out next year.

By the way DJ Daffy, I am a diehard Bon Jovi fan, and I think that the New Jersey album is great. I do agree though that Bad Medicine is cheesey. I usually skip over that one. But there are great songs like Blood On Blood, Living In Sin, Born To Be My Baby, and Wild Is The Wind.

I may be a big fan of Pat's, but you are entitled to your opinion EBG.

Believe it or not, there is an album of Pat Benatar's that I don't like, even though she has the voice to carry it off. I never liked the Blues, so Pat Benatar's album "True Love" is one album of hers that I will never own. I do however like that particular song when it's done live, only because Neil Giraldo plays some great riffs while he walks through the audience during the performance of "True Love".

Interesting! Well, I own the first Kid Rock cd and I have to say it does suck. Only like the songs that were on the radio.

Anything after the black album for Metallica
Motley Crues 'Generation Swine
Sinead O'Connor's Universal Mother (I love Sinead but this wasn't her best)
Alanis - Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie (could have been good but 19 songs is a bit much

Man, I can't think of anymore! I gotta dig thru my CD's again!

Fine Young Cannibals - The Raw and the Remix
Ultravox - U Vox I love Ultravox, but this album was not my cup of tea
Nena - 99 Luft Ballons I dunno why, but I just hate that album. I bought it at a yard sale for 50 cents and actually wanted my 50 cents back

There was one terrible album made by Bryan ferry, which gives me headache. Someone in my neighbourhood had the cheek to play it loud 6am in the morning. I’m not sure of the album title, but all the songs that Bryan sung were all done in a reggae style – yuck!!!!!!!!

However, I like some of Ferry's songs, but that particular reggae album made me ill !

Interesting to read what people think are the "worst ever" albums because some listed I enjoy like:

Culture Club - Colour By Numbers (which is flawless)
Duran Duran - Medazzaland (which I think is a masterpiece)
Cyndi Lauper - True Colours (Not Bad at all)
Pat Benatar - Tropico (I rather enjoyed it).

Here are some personal dislikes although I wouldn't call them the "worst ever":

DURAN DURAN - Thank You & Pop Trash (their lowest points musically)
BANANARAMA - Please Yourself (there's no pleasing anyone with this mess...their lowest point musically)
PAT BENATAR - Innamorata & True Love (her weakest albums to date although they both are fan favorites)
PHIL COLLINS - Dance Into the Light (almost unlistenable..definitely his lowest point musically)
ANITA BAKER - Songstress (terrible album of watered down R&B...thank God she made "Rapture" and recovered nicely after this album)
BOY GEORGE - Hi Hat (Boy tries R&B and fails miserably)
IRENE CARA - Carasmatic (Tired, watered down generic R&B..she could have done so much better than this trite)
SHEENA EASTON - No Sound But A Heart (no sound would be better than listening to this atrocity. No wonder it wasn't released here in the US. After releasing several good albums she unleashed this mess onto the world)
ELTON JOHN - Victim of Love & Leather Jackets (his worst work to date...Victim Of Love is especially unlistenable)

1977's A Farewell to Kings by Rush. Not a real big Rush fan, but I could listen to some of their songs, with the exception of Closer to the Heart which appears on said album. I don't hate alot of Canadian songs, but that one drives me up the wall

Rush did have a few good songs though but the only one I'd really call a favourite is Subdivisions

This is punishable by death!

"Cygnus X-1" is a masterpiece, and "Xanadu" is an EPIC!!!

If you're not a big fan, then you really can't say that it's a "worst" album. On that basis, I could pretty much list any new wave band of the 80's and all their albums, because I wasn't a big fan. Pretty much every Boy George album would be on the list then, cause the guy made me cringe with his voice. BUT, I'm not a new wave fan...so I'll let the new wavers pic which of his albums sucked!

As for me,

~ Manowar ~ Hail To England
~ Dream Evil ~ The Book Of Heavy Metal
~ Cheap Trick ~ Anything after Dream Police
~ KISS - Dynasty and Unmasked

More to follow....

I think the crappest pile of dung i've bought is 'Swamp Thing' by Malcolm Mclaren which is shite. It's a complete shambles devoid of melody and ideas.
'Duck Rock' on the other hand is brilliant! :thumb:

I don't hate Rush. Just not every album they did appealed to me. I did like the "Moving Pictures" and "Signals" albums. Some of the best Canadian rock of the 80's :thumb:
