For many years I have been wating my time on dial up! WHAT a waste! I decided to get a cable modem and find out what I missing!!! I was shocked how fast this went! I could not believe how fast pages load!!!! This is amazing where the hell have I been!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats!! I have cable and can't imagine going back to dial up. EVER. I guess I got spoiled with it. :lol:

We HAD dial-up 2003 and after MONTHS of talking (More like arguing) my wife into trying it (She does the bills), I can smugly say "Wanna go back to dial-up?"

To which the response is always the same "Not just no...but HELL F**KING NO! And wipe that Stupid Smug grin off your face!" :lol:

Shop around fanatic. DSL is just about the same price as Dial-up anymore (Maybe a TAD more bit not much). Although not as fast as Cable, it is a HELLUVA LOT faster than Dial-up!

I have had cable about 4 years now and no way would I go back to dialup. It's like going from a Ferrari to a Pinto :lol: If anything I would go to DSL. I have see adds for verizon dsl for 29.95 a month maybe that's something that you could look into 80'sfanatic.

Thanks diofan, I'll have to check into it. I am hooked up with my local light company, but I will check up to see how much more it would be with my cable company ( I have cable & phone service with them) to add on the DSL. Hopefully it won't be too much more a month.

I finally got cable 2 months ago! Nothing other than dial up was available to me where I lived...

OMG...I wont have it any other way when I move in 2 weeks! Ive already checked everything....:lol:

I have cable also but I don't find it as fast I I thought it should be. Maybe it's my computer or the fact that I use a splitter? I do like that you can dl music and games are faster. Check into Vonage for a phone provider. From what I understand they are a lot cheaper then your local provider.
