Ok, being that yesterday was the 20th anniversary of MTV, what were some of the greatest moments on that channel?
Was it the first broadcast EVER?? Was it the first time we say Madonna rolling around on stage trying to sing "Like A Virgin"?? Was it LiveAid?? or WE ARE THE WORLD??

I would have to say Live Aid was MTV's biggest triumph. I remember watching it the entire day, and feeling a part of this monumental day. It was very moving and thrilling.

As far as the one thing I watched on MTV, I'd have to agree with Michael...the Live Aid was the best thing to air...seeing Phil Collins was the coolest!
The next coolest thing was being on Club MTV. I got to meet DT Julie Brown, and dance with some really hot guys. That was pretty cool! (Though I am bummed that the 'rents didn't tape it, and neither did my dumb roommates!! <img src="frown.gif" border="0"> )

Seeing Prince perform on the '87 VMA's singing "Sign O' the times" and "play in the sunshine". I wish I was there! The way Sheila E led all the drummers to the stage just blew me away!!!!

Some of my favorite MTV moment.....
- Head Bangers Ball starts up in 87!
- Back when they would do hard 60 and hard 30!
- Power cord Wednesday
- No repeat days
- Friday night Rock Blocks!
- Dr. Demento's "weird video's"
- "Now Hear This" Monday nights. New videos!
- Classic MTV show with Marth Quin
- David Lee Roth weekend "Dave TV"
- Randy of the Redwoods
- "Lost weekend with Van Halen"
- contest to name Sammy Hagar's new 1987 album (Never say Goodbye)
- "Rockumentary" with an hour of video's from the featured group.
- Top 100 video countdowns of all time. They would play the full videos! Not like VH1 does today (talk about the video, but do not play it)
- World premiere video's the rocked my world..... "Hot For Teacher", "Welcome To The Jungle", "Girls, Girls, Girls", "I Can't Drive 55", "Sledgehammer", "Just A Gigolo", "Land Of Confusion", "Thriller", "We Are The World", "Legs", "Cherry Pie", "Dreams", "Touch Of Grey", "We're Not Gonna Take It", and so many more!!!

My most memorable was when I actually saw Prince for the first time. I had heard him on the radio singing Little Red Corvette and had a crush on his 'voice'..then I saw him and was SHOCKED :bigeek:
Remote Control was a favorite of mine, finally a game show that I could answer questions from. ;)
What was the name of the MTv talk show from the late 80's that would have bands answer questions from fans on the phone. The bands would also play live. I remember seeing the Ramones and Femme Fatale in this show. Was it called "Big Mouth" or "Loud Mouth" or something like that?
Headbangers Ball. Esp. when they got rid of that cheeseball host, Adam Curry and got Rikki Rachtman! :thumb:
120 Minutes when Dave Kendall hosted it. (late 80's I think)
