What was your favorite comedies of the 80s? I loved Night Court, Cheers and Soap!! Soap was the best. My father in law gets a new Soap tape every month, I love to watch those shows! They had the zanniest characters!

Yah! Soap was a great one. That show definitely would not be produced these days though! It would probably offend to many people.

I also liked Night Court, Alf and Cheers.

The Facts of Life were good, but I preferred the old ones (Pre-Jo - Not that I disliked her. Just liked the orignal cast) to the newer ones.

I'd have to say that one of my favorite 80s sitcoms was ALF.That show made me laugh my BEHIND off,I thought that Alf and the dad were the funniest!!!I taped the little mini ALF marathon on Nick at Nite and now I watch my tape everyday before I go to school.Another one of my favorites when I was little was Benson.I thought that all of the characters were funny, especially the battle of wits between Benson and Ms.Krause.

Soap was great. I'll never forget one of the wives talking to one of the children: "Horny...what a funny word!" Well, maybe ya had to be there http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//wink.gif

I admit I had a crush on Blair on Facts of Life too. Oh what a babe. "I do not sweat - I glisten!"

Who was in it....I'm pretty sure Marla Gibbs was in it (she played 'Florence' on The Jeffersons). All I remember about it was they were always talking about something out front of the building....I don't know...memories a little vague on that one http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//tongue.gif

Let me refresh your memory regarding 227: Marla Gibbs was in it..she played "Mary". Jackee Harry was also in it. Her name was "Sandra" and always had a whiny voice. There was also an old lady that had great one-liners. She died not too long ago. Anyway, the premise was that they all lived in an apartment complex and all these hilarious daily stuff would happen to them.

Okay! Now I remember seeing it on Nick at Nite a couple of times. Just don't think I ever watched it when it was on prime time though.

Yup! Don Johnson was THE man. I used to spend hours in front of mirrors trying to will my beard to start growing so I could wear that permanent five o'clock shadow like he had. *Shakey in front on the mirror - "Grow! Grow, damn you. I know you're going to, so start right now!"*

Of course, now it does grow and I wish I could make it stop! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//00grin.gif
