I'm having difficulty logging in to my own Hotmail (http://www.hotmail.com) account. Each time I try to log in, I see the following message:

Your Web browser options are currently set to disable cookies.
To use .NET Passport, you must enable cookies.

What I wanna know is: How do I enable cookies?

It's easy! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif

For IE 6.0:

Go to TOOLS / Internet Options /Privacy Tab/ Advanced/

Once you are in the Advanced section, select the options you see below (made a screen copy for ya):

If you are using Firefox:

Tools/ Options/ Privacy/Cookies. Once you are there, just check the "enable cookies" & "accept cookies normally".

And you should be all set! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/wink.gif

I had to adjust my privacy settings a few times. :argh:

But now...I'm finally able to log in to my Hotmail account! (I've successfully logged in to it at least three times within the past 30 minutes.)

Thanks! :)

I really hate the "Security Feature" of internet explorer (Particularly on Windows XP). So I did the best I could have done (Even if the security feature wasn't an issue). I put firefox on the computer.

Good choice, Diofan! :thumb: I use both IE 6.0 and Firefox because I test stuff with both browsers (scripts, CSS, etc) so I usually open certain things with IE and other sites exclusively with Firefox. Firefox definitely beats Netscape! I am so glad they came up with a reliable, more stable browser! Netscape couldn't deal with Java at all! *coughbrowsercrashforcedyoutorebootcough*
