For my Sega Genesis console, these are my favorite games:

Klax, Columns, Toejam and Earl, Star Control, and my Arcade Classics which has Centipede on it.

For my Atari 2600 here are some of my favorites:
Kaboom, Seaquest, Chopper Command, Robot Tank, Frogger, Plaque Attack, and Combat.

OMG! Zel, you have incredible taste. I loved playing Wolfenstein, Zelda and Grim Fandango (one of the best adventure games ever made). If you like adventure games, you should check out The Longest Journey. (http://www.longestjourney.com/)

Besides those, I liked Resident Evil, Duke Nukem and more recently Deus Ex.

For the Atari 2600: Space Invaders, Adventure, Defender, The Empire Strikes Back, Yars Revenge, Pole Position and Star Fight
For the Atari 800: Caverns of Mars, Cosmic Balance and the original Castle Wolfenstein
For the Commodore 64 (Zel...was there a special Canadian edition, since you´ve mentioned the C 65? ;)) : Great Trans-American Race, Mission Impossible, Ghettoblaster
For the SNES : Street Fighter II (didn´t own many games for it)
For The PC: Doom and Doom II (the reason for buying a PC...back then, the most expensive console ever :D), Dune II and Dune 2000, all C&C, Sudden Strike, Soldiers of Fortune, Panzer General, Half Life, Unreal Tournament...phew.

some of my favs in no particular order are

ghouls and ghosts, zoo keeper, yie ar kung fu, super contra, mega man, blaster master, willow (arcade version), forgotten worlds, Castlevania ( for just about every platform), Kid Icarus, Metroid and Super Metroid, Air Sea Battle (2600),..oh my ..I can go on for days and days...haha I dont play too many games these days but back in the 80s..yeah it was one of my most favorite things to do...

No, after I went through (in God mode :D), I´ve deinstalled it. Might reconsider it now, as Shakey mentioned the 'Wanted' mod... ;)
I´m currently at C&C 3 - Tiberian Sun again...found this game after a long time, now I only need the mission disk and the new C&C Code Red 2 - Yuris Revenge to complete my C&C archive.
B&W is really a cool game, but it brings my PC to the brink of it´s ressources, and it takes a looong time to play - even my endurance for games have limits. ;)

Tried to download it, but the damn servers are always busy. Is this only a mod or a complete game?

Question: What was the game called that had 4 players at one time. The characters were Thor, Valkerie, Elf, & Wizard? It was an arcade game. :)

I had an Atari 2600 and my buddy had a game system called Odyssey. My favorite games to play were Pac-Man (I can still tear up a Ms.Pac-Man at an arcade),Frogger, Space Invaders, Bezerk, Donkey Kong, Punch-Out, and Defender.

I would say the Nintendo Entertainment System.

1-Zelda 2-Super Mario Bros. 3-Tie-Contra-Basesloaded 2

If there's an updated Ms. Pac-man on Super Nintendo or Sega, you can get that for free and play it right on your PC ;)

Gauntlet--Man we pumped some quarters into that machine at the Zippy Mart. I always played the Valkerie and my friend played the Elf and would steal all the food. But he was a toadie.

Oh, I loved Lunar Lander, I used to play that game for hours on my Commi64 pretending that I was trying to land the Apollo command module on the moon! :D

On Lunar Lander, you had two buttons to rotate right or left, and a throttle to control your thrust. When the game started, you could change the gravity level, and then you had to land on a designated flat spot on the moon, and at just the right speed or BANG! I never could get the right pitch/yaw/thrust thing! So many wasted quarters......

I have NO hand to eye co-ordination....I could barely play pong. Though I kinda did okay with Space Invaders.

Atello, that is definitely the game my son has. You only have so much time to land before your fuel runds out, too. And if you land too fast or off the X, your ship crumples.....Not that I've ever played it or anything. :rolleyes:

OK, I gotta ask....What game system does your son have? I've have to have this game again! Granted, I'm not going to go out and buy a Nintendo or anything else out on the market just for it, but at least I'll know it's out there! I'm a PC game junkie, much to my girlfriends dismay....

This is a computer game, Atello, but I can't find it right now. :( I'll ask my son in the morning and if I have time tomorrow, I'll post a response here for you. It may have already been installed on the comp (our first one was given to us by my father-in-law, who loaded it for us).

Thinking back on Atari reminds me of the one game I was never able to figure out...Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark. That blasted thing confused the hell outta me! lol :p

Glad I'm not the only one! :rolleyes: How the heck was I supposed to find all those artifacts when I couldn't tell them from Indy? The graphics were too limited for this game to make much sense to me.

To this day I've never found the damn ark...haven't played in years, but still. I think the furthest I made it was the black market where you get the gun and bullets...then there was something about having to dig a hole in one of the yellow mesas or something? Even looking in the manual didn't help in that thing...my only gaming defeat...foiled by a 2-bit game...how sad...LOL :p

Two Things:

Atello, the moon landing game is on a Xtreme Games CD that my father-in-law loaded into my old comp for my son. I guess you could find it at a video or computer game store.

Buc, my son just bought a gameboy game a couple months ago called Yar's Revenge. So if one of your kids has a gameboy, head to WalMart or KMart. He found it at Ames ($4.99 No kidding), but I don't know if you have any of those stores where you're at. :)

Buc don't need no gameboy...he can get that for free on emulation as well! :D Damn the 'net just rules :)

You're not kidding about that game, and that wasn't even the hard part. After you went to the map room and found which mesa you needed, you jumped off the mesa, opened your parachute, and TRIED to guide it to an opening on the side. It would bring tears to your eyes; if you didn't make it, you had to go back through most of it again :mad:.
It was still easier than Fireworld though.
I never even found a clue on that one. :confused:

LOL @ Roem & Ringwraith. I think I have played that parachute part a million times. I did succeed in landing but didn't know what to do from there. Most kids had that game because of the cool Indy cover, but had no clue to how to play it. I wonder if we can find an FAQ/walkthrough ónline?

After you parachute into the mesa, you use your shovel (IF you remembered to bring it) to dig the arc out of the dirt. Game Over.
I can't believe how much of that game I remember, although I couldn't tell you anything we covered in chemistry class. How sad is that??
