View Full Version : Game & Watch
80sSmurf 7-08-01, 02:49 PM Remember "Game & Watch"? They were HUGE in Denmark! I had a bunch of 'em, but never "Donkey Kong", which was considered the best & coolest...Lucky me, a friend gave me one less than a month ago, and it's still a blast...Plus I'm cool now riding on trains and busses playing my own "Donkey Kong"
Silveradocruiser 7-08-01, 06:52 PM As I was "the best and the coolest" I of course had a Donkey Kong, together with lots of others! Still have my Donkey Kong, but no batteries at the moment and no time to play...
Poison PJ 7-08-01, 07:08 PM I had The Zelda One. Used To Play It When I Was Supposed To Be Doin Schoolwork
Silveradocruiser 7-08-01, 09:01 PM Back in the days I played ALL the time... Don't remember all the different Game&Watches...Besides Donkey Kong, there was Greenhouse and Mickey Mouse that I can think of right now...but there were atleast 25 others!
Mine didn't have an official game (like Donkey Kong), but it did have a silly little number game. Does that count? If it matters, I wasted away many hours (classroom mostly) playing that thing.
80sSmurf 7-20-01, 02:33 PM Shakey IMO anything with a lcd-screen, annoying *beep*-sound & portable matters I had tons of the not-so-cool-games from obscure asian companys. It's just hat Donkey Kong is something of a milestone, since it was the first multiscreen *beep*-game (yup, we called 'em that in li'l ol' Denmark ), and it was also the first game ever from Nintendo featuring Mario
Nintendo really had some cool licenses in those days (Snoopy-tennis & PopEye).
I never saw a Zelda game in Denmark tho', would definitely want to see one of those, or perhaps some screenshot...How was the gameplay PJ ? Couldn't have been all that involving or big if it was an adventure game, or what ?
I had the Snoopy Tennis. It was an awesome "beep beep game". I also had this fishing game that drove me insane for a while - can't come up with the name though.

this charming man 3-14-02, 05:27 PM Did you have one of these, they were very basic compared to today's standards, but at the time they were realy cool.
I had a double screen one with donkey kong and donkey kong 2. I also had one where you had to juggle, sounds pretty dull now, but used to keep me entertained for hours.
80sSmurf 3-14-02, 06:34 PM Ohh I remeber this thread from a long time ago, good job reviving it Charm...:thumb:
I had DK double screen too...And lucky me, I found myself a working one 2-3 months ago...Ahhh the memories :D
:thumb: I had the Popeye one!! I also had one called "Octopus" or something like that, where ya had to retrieve treasure and avoid the octopus' tentacles! Hours of fun! :)
