I loved his Rebel Yell album. It was all over MTV. It was a hard rockin album. He had a great guitarist who also played an Michael Jackson's Thriller album (which is a big reason for that album's success). Does anybody know what Billy Idol is up to these days? Or what ever happened to his guitarist (I think his name was Steve Stevens)?

I don't know what he has been up to lately. I think the last thing I saw him in was "The Wedding Singer".

Have to agree with you about Rebel Yell. In my opinion, it was probably one of the best albums of the 80's. I think I wore that cassette out twice before I graduated from high school.

Billy Idol also made great videos. "White Wedding" was always one my favorites

I loved him too!! In fact.. I had him in the cd player in my car today!! I'm getting "re-hooked" on "Flesh For Fantasy" He was so cool in The Wedding Singer.. I love how he gets that big grin when the older woman in first class says, "What's the mile high club?" http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//00grin.gif Steve Stevens was cool, too.. I loved both of them in the "To be a Lover" video, when they are in the boxing (or was it wrestling) ring.
Both were SUPER-HOT in that video!! Great song, too!

Hey... new Billy Idol news!!

BILLY IDOL AND STEVE STEVENS RETEAM FOR ALBUM:
Although he said it was unlikely he would ever do it, Steve Stevens is set to rejoin his long time partner Billy Idol.
The duo reunited for the first time in several years for a cover of the Simple Minds smash hit Don't You (Forget About Me) for Idol's just-released Greatest Hits and are now planning several live performances and are in the studio recording a full-length album.
The Press Release continues:
Idol will perform April 23 on Late Show With David Letterman and will play two shows the next day at storied New York nightclub the Bottom Line. The intimate shows are expected to include reworked arrangements of Idol hits that the rest of the world will get to hear on an upcoming episode of VH1's Storytellers, according to his publicist.
Idol's new studio album, slated for release in 2002, will be his first LP of new material since 1993's ill-fated Cyberpunk.

Billy Idol just released “The Very Best Of Billy Idol: Idolize Yourself” which has a couple of new songs with his guitarist Steve Stevens. This following up his 2005 album with Steve Stevens called “Devil’s Playground.” Billy is also out on tour.
“Rebel Yell” will always be my favorite album from him!! Rock on Billy!!!:apunk:
