I was looking through my vinyl today and found the soundtrack to the movie "Breaking Glass". Hazel O'Conner starred and performed in this movie. Did anyone else ever see it? I know it had aired on Night Flight back in the 80's and that is how I saw it.

I haven't seen the movie, but I do remember Eigth Day. Her song "Will You" will always be in my top ten favourite songs.
Apparently, 'Will You' was written about Midge Ure.....

I remember this film. I saw this at my friends apartment one drunken new year's eve. Thanks for the memory!

Er, sorry about that. I knew some girls who used to fancy the pants off Midge Ure at school though...

I love the movie and have on DVD the soundtrack is FAB the executive produer of the film was Dodi Elfied (B4 princess Dianna). Hazel O'conner plays in a bar where i used to live fairly frequently and sods law that i've mannaged to miss her everytime. seh's quite a women if you read her bio her last album was out about 7 years ago or that was the most recent one i've seen some great songs on there. It's called 5 in the morning on Mystic records Meantime and Rebecca amazing

The film also had Phil Daniels who was appeared in Quadrophenia, with Hazel O'conner performing as the main charactor, an up and coming music star who struggles to cope with the new found fame and attention. This sadly kind of pre-empted Hazels real life situation and the success that 'Breaking Glass' ended up having on her.
The soundtrack does have some very powerfull songs on it which Hazel performs brilliantly, so even if you can't catch the movie it's well worth listening to the soundtrack alone.
Worth checking out also are the two follow up albums she released 'Cover plus' and 'Sons & Lovers'. :thumb:
She is also back touring as well appearing at some festivals in the UK, I'm not sure if that will mean she tours abroad though.
Hey Folks,
Great to see that Hazel has such a following. I saw her in concert with Cormac DeBarra and his extremely cute brother in the Brook Lodge Hotel last Saturday. She was amazing and the setting was perfect, intimate and warm. Hazel has such a powerful voice that it was mind blowing to see what she has done with her repitoire of songs.
Not only was the music fantastic but Hazel was funny and entertaining also!
A great night!

Hi Sandan I gotta admit I need to check out some of her new work, she always did have a great voice, so it's good to know that she still has. The last time I checked on her web site she had no gigs lined up, so it might be worth me checking again if you saw her recently.
