Wow! Thanks Sal.

I suppose that we humble folk in the great southen land won't see this album until June or July.
I await with eager anticipation for it's arrival.
What did you think of their last two albums?
'Songs Of Faith And Devotion' was a big departure from their earlier material. Synth drones and every song (except "Get Right With Me"), written in a minor [the sad sounding] key.
'Ultra' saw the use of a live drummer on most of the tracks. The track that springs to mind immediately is "Useless".
I remember from the "101" video, Alan Wilder explaining why they never had a drummer.
I suppose the days of practicing quietly in someones garage, have gone.
Let us know what the new single is like when you hear it, as is will take 600 years before Australian listeners will once again be able to marvel at the aural pleasure that is Depeche Mode!
Thanks,
NewRomantic.

there's soundclips being released on their website, if anybody is interested:

oh wow..and lyrics. ok, that's changed since the last time i looked at it. anyways, from what i've heard so far, most of them (with a few exceptions) sound very similar to the last two albums. it's slightly disappointing to me, but i still love them, because i'll always love depeche mode. heh.

like i sorta alluded to above, i'm a huge depeche mode fan, but i'll always grab another album before their last two. i think their best "era" (or whatever) was music for the masses to violator. i can see that they ARE progressing musically, and i respect what they're doing, i just like violator and music for the masses better http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif

i'm just SO EXCITED about the tour they're doing. my heart starts beating whenever i just THINK about it.
