I am looking for a decent discography for And One. Do you or anyone else know where I can find one?

This time w/o any parts of my body... :D

I think that A Different Drum (http://www.adifferentdrum.com/) will provide you with lots of And One-stuff.

If not, check out INDIETECTIVE German Mailorder Store (http://www.indietective.de/)...they are among the largest sellers of Synthpop and Independent in Germany.

Thanks Wave, but what I want is a list of all their releases. Do you have one?

Okay, Iīm trying to gather all their releases...

1989 Metal Hammer (CDS)
1991 Technoman (CDS)
1991 Aus Der Traum (CDS)
1991 Anguish (CD)
1992 Flop! (CD)
1992 Monotonie (EP)
1993 Life Isnīt Easy In Germany (CDS)
1993 Spot (CD)
1994 Driving With My Darling (CDS)
1994 I.S.T. (Deutsch) (CD)
1994 I.S.T. (English) (CD)
1995 Deutschmaschine (EP)
1997 Best Of (CD)
1997 Sometimes (CDS)
1997 Sitata Tirulala (CDS)
1997 Sweety Sweety (CDS)
1997 Nordhausen (CD)
1998 Get You Closer (CDS)
1998 9.9.99. 9Uhr (CD)
2000 Wasted (CDS)
2000 Virgin Superstar (CD)
tba Aggressor (?)

Itīs a bit difficult to get them all together...And One changed their label back in ī97, and the new label Virgin hadnīt obviously bothered with updating the respective page since 2000...
The official homepage of And One isnīt very informative either.

Take Some More...a few tidbits about And One:

And One are from Braunschweig (Brunswick), Germany. The band was founded in 1989, the founders Steve Naghavi and Chris Ruiz were 16 years old then.

Chris Ruiz left the band soon, the lineup was now Steve Naghavi, Joke Jay and Rick Schah.
A female keyboarder named Annie added the lineup in 2000.
While Chris Ruiz returned to And One, Joke Jay left the band in 2001. The present lineup is Steve Naghavi and Chris Ruiz.

And One left their former record label Noise records/Machinery and went to Virgin/EMI in 1997.

The cover for the Indonesian (!) version of "Nordhausen" had to be retouched, as itīs stricly forbidden to show any genitals there (the graphic showed a naked man flying).

The album "9.9.99 9Uhr" reached #15 in the German Top 100, sold over 50,000 times.

Enough? ;)

And One! :) Can't stop myself from posting on this one! :D

Flix - they are great. German synthpop at it's best. I have a live video from a tiny NYC show they did back in...hmmm....1997 or 98. I also saw them a few months ago with Covenant. If you ever have the chance to see, them, don't pass it up. Stefan moves just like David Gahan on stage. It's quite cute. :)

Video..hmmm ;)

Why would I be interested in whether he moves like Dave Gahan? ;) but...does he really? :p

Check out the lyrics for "Techno Man"...

'Dave was dancing in the disco/like a loser looking for himself...' :D

With a little bit of imagination, you may think that this track is a hommage to some artists which had influenced And One:
Dave Gahan (DM)
Richard 23 (242)
Douglas McCarthy (Nitzer Ebb)

Who knows... :p

Another And One-News...

Slightly confusing, I know...Iīm trying to get it together as good as I can:

It seems that Chris Ruiz left the band again (if he ever was involved in any activities, thatīs it).
Now the line up is the usual threesome again - Steve Naghavi, Joke Jay and Rick Schah.
After it was said that Joke Jay left the band he obviously returned. Rick Schah also left the band to have more time for his family, but after Steve and Joke asked him to accompany the following tour he returned also.

So, And One is back with full force... :)
