Ladies and gentlemen....the 2006 Ford Mustang Shelby Cobra GT500. In place of the standard Mustang GT's 300-hp, 4.6-liter V-8, the GT500 uses a 5.4-liter engine, supercharged for an estimated 450 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque, hooked up to a six-speed manual gearbox.

You'll need a mop for the drool....

And to think that my brother's getting one and asked me if he could park it in my driveway during the winter months....:irked::hissy:

The only thing I don't like are the rims.

My only problem is that the hella lights aren't on the grill like the GT. The 67 Shelby GT500's had them in the grill like that. I dunno if I like the standard driving lights look it has. Otherwise i'd be all over it :)

I guess they wanted to differentiate from the standard GT. I kinda dig it.

You'd give up 450 horses for driving light placement? Bro, we gotta talk!

Shakey, they're estimating it'll be about 50 large.

That puts it firmly in the category of 'Dream Car' then. :(

Maybe you could do the 180 month finance on it. :D

Perhaps there is a choice of rim options, I found this pic of one with mag rims, but it's not a Shelby. Looks very close to the old style mags.

Yea Jeff, Ford has had those rims as an option for the last two years. That's where I would have went with it. The rims on there now look too much like "tuner" rims for an old fashioned musclecar.

One of the auditors at work has a 2005 Mustang GT which looks Kinda similar. Her's is all black but still a great looking ride. Another worker in our building has a 2004 Corvette, again All black, but I peeked inside. I haven't seen 300 MPH on a speedometer until that car. Told a co-worker "ain't no way this car can go 300 MPH and stay on the ground."
