My son's school was closed for three days because of the Flu going around.

It has to be real bad for a whole county to close down due to illness.

I haven't been sick this year, thank goodness. Have any of you?

My hubby had the flu bad a week and a half ago. :barf:

I managed to not get it, but I am really lethargic and have had lovely intestinal symptoms all this week.

All I want to do is hibernate at home, but we are out of milk, out of bread, out of cheese! I really need to do shopping, but it's like I don't want to even move. lol

I dont know if its the whole Jeff County here but my brother school is cloesed Mon - Wed cause of it. No one here is sick but for dad but thats something different. My aunt who is 40 min up the road says she is coming down with something. Its getting bad around here. There are some businesses that have closesd a day or 2 cause of it. I pray my family doesnt get it. (Milani im also praying you and your kids dont get it either) :love:

I hate to see one of my kids hurt, I would rather have it 100x worse then to let them feel the pain of the flu.

He is coughing so bad, I have bought 3 types of cough medicine and even bought some patches from Triaminic to put on his chest to help his coughing. But nothing is helping. I rocked him in my arms to try and rock him to sleep but nothing is helping him. I am going to have to take him to the DR.'s office tomorrow because I hate to see my baby hurting so much. I know it is just the flu but I can't handle it.
When they hurt I hurt. :(

I am one of these people who never ever get sick! Everybody catches something I don't! I usually catch something all on my own but everybody else gets it from me!

OMG baby im sooooo sorry. I hate that he is so sick. Im sure you know it breaks my heart. I know you are hurting cause he hurts. I wish i could be there to help you. All you can do is try to make him feel as good as you can and i know more than anything you are doing everything that you can. You are such a great mother. I will pray for him to get better FAST and that your other wonderful boys stay well. PLEASE let me know what the Dr. says tomarrow. You know i will be worried about him. Love you all!

I walked in there ( my room since he sleeps with me ) and I looked down at his little face and kissed his little lips. Well to a 6 1/2 year old this is vodoo. I told him that I wanted all his germs so he could be ok.

He smiled at me through his couging and told me that i was the best mommy in the world. And he wishes my kisses could make him feel better.

Milani, I hope Logan feels better soon!! I don't have kids yet, but I know that my heart would break when they were sick.

It does break my heart. I hate hearing him cough everytime he does I run into the room and rock him, or sing to him.

Im sure that helps him. Just him being that close to you will make him feel better. I wanted to keep sending you IMs tongiht but I know you needed to be with him and be able to run to him more than you needed to talk to me.

Ohhh GAAAAAAAAAAHHHH... my family got it BAD this year. And to top it off, we kept giving it back and forth to each other. After I finally got well (I haven't been that sick in YEEEEARS), I kept following everyone around with Clorox wipes and Lysol! :lol: It's all gone now, thank goodness... but it was a BAAAAAAAAAAD one!

Last winter, I managed to get through virtually unscathed. Maybe one cold, which is good because I can take sick days and actually have fun. :D
