Dec 21st, 1st day of Winter, shortest day of the year.

Does anyone else detest winter. There is no doubt in my mind that my emotions are controlled by the length of the days. I am happy go lucky through the summer and moody and lethargic through the winter. I find it hard to even go outside at this time of year. It's not the cold weather, because it has been pretty warm the last couple months.

On the bright side, only 3 months till spring. :)

Here in Chile it will be the other way around...today will be the longest day of the year,to bad it can not be the whole year like this...

I do not detest winter. In fact, I like winter a lot because I do not like the heat in summer.

I like all the seasons but winter does make you feel deressed at times. Mostly because you are stuck inside.

Love Fall. Like Winter. Spring is OK. Summer is too damn hot.

Today is also my sister's Birthday!

I like winter, I work nights, So, I get to drive in the dark both going to work, and coming home from it!

I love winter!!! Summer makes me moody & dizzy.

I don't mind winter... even that 5 degree day we had yesterday :lol: What I CAN'T STAND though is snow... and it's already started :dammit: Cold I can deal with... you can always layer up more, but there's no escaping them ice crystals from hell when they start coming :lol::p

Today just happens to be my day off too, so my mood is quite good :lol:

I'm a summer baby!!! Where's the SUN?

Its been beautiful here, like spring!!! But I have to say being from "snow" country, I miss the snow for Christmas......its so clean and fresh. Its looking like a brown Christmas here this year and will miss taking the kids sledding on Christmas Day :(

Winter is okay. I just don't like the temperature changes. 10 degrees yesterday, nearly 40 degrees today, 25 degrees tomorrow. Pick on and stick with it already!

5 degrees? That was a heatwave compared to my -18 :dammit: As much as I hate to say it I think I would rather have it cold than snow. You don't have to clean out cold before you have can leave the driveway. :lol:

To me cold is painful, and when you go inside it takes time to warm back up. Even on a hot, muggy day the second I go inside the AC, I feel the relief.

My perfect day is 75, low humidity, clear blue sky, but with enough puffy white clouds to block the direct sun.

I worked in the jail with people who are in there for murder and the Officers told me that the winter months are the worst for the inmates since it depress's them so bad and they commit suicide now more then ever.
And sure enough the other day I witnessed someone jump off the top floor!!!

I don't like the cold weather, which is funny, cause I live in New England. I hate going out early in the morning to start my car on those really cold days. I despise driving in the snow, and especially during the ice storms. I too, wish it was 75, low humidity and white puffy clouds all the time. I can't wait until Spring !!!!!!
