Having sold seventy-five million records since 1973, legendary rock-and-roll hit-makers, Journey, have earned their eternal star in Hollywood history on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony will begin at 11:30am, January 21, 2005, in front of the Musician's Institute at 6750 Hollywood Boulevard.

Journey was announced in early 2004 as one of only four other music artists chosen to receive a star on the famed boulevard of immortals. Helpful in fulfilling this honor are members of the band's Past & Present Committee and Journeydigest.com.

To "Faithfully" celebrate this historic and momentous occasion, the band-Neal Schon (guitar), Ross Valory (bass), Jonathan Cain (keyboards), Steve Augeri (vocals) and Deen Castronovo (drums)-will be performing at the House Of Blues in West Hollywood, CA. Surprise guests, spontaneous jam sessions, and over three decades of hit songs should leave no doubt that this will be a show to remember.

I agree they deserve it too, however....Not taking anything away from him, but let's not forget that Steve Augeri had nothing to do with Journey selling 75 million albums, nor the countless sold out arena world tours. Steve Perry had as much to do with Journey's success as anyone else...I wonder if he was aske to attend?

Well, they probably stopped asking him to attend anything when he went on BEHIND THE MUSIC and made an ass of himself.

I conclude with all posts that they deserve it. They definitely do and have earned it. :thumb:

Indeed, it's about time! Yes, we can't forget that Steve Perry was a big part of Journey, but the band has to also credit Greg Rolie. He was before Steve.

Before AND during. The two albums they did with both Greg and Steve handling vocals were some of the best music they created.

They ALL should have been invited.

The second lineup of Journey is what made them great....Perry, Schon, Valory, Smith and Rollie.

I read that Steve Perry showed up at the ceremony. Very cool!
