I'm not sure if The King of Kensington made it out of Canada or not, so here goes ...

The King of Kensington ran from 1975-1980 and starred the late Al Waxman (best known as the police chief from Cagney & Lacey) as Larry King (no relation to the CNN guy), owner of a variety store in Kensington Market in Toronto.

Larry lived with his fianceé Gwen, was often pestered by his ex-wife Kathy, and his mother Gladys refused to cut the apron strings. The interplay between the characters was what made this show so great :thumb:

TRIVIA: At the tender age of 12.. Mike Myers made his acting debut with a guest role as a boyscout. I remember that episode :thumb:

I often watch the reruns I'll admit!! It's a pretty good show! I get a kick out of Larry's Mom! Cathy is so annoying! She drives me nuts!

Funny, only thing I really remember about KOK is a feeling of utter annoyance :D
