View Full Version : Nightwish & Sonata Arcitca tour Creeps 12-13-04, 10:52 AM A few of us will be at the Orlando House of Blues on Apr 29th for this one if anyone else is going, lets hook up. KimJoy69 12-13-04, 11:06 AM :dammit: DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT! That's like the 2nd busiest weekend of the entire season for me at work. :grrr: There's NO WAY I could make that show. :irked: Pagan 12-13-04, 11:31 AM I could dig seeing Sonata, but I doubt highly I could sit through an entire set of Nightwish. The vocals would be like nails on a blackboard after two songs. Kinda like King Diamond. I LOVE his music, but man....once he opens his mouth I'm outta there.... Creeps 12-13-04, 11:35 AM I could dig seeing Sonata, but I doubt highly I could sit through an entire set of Nightwish. The vocals would be like nails on a blackboard after two songs. Kinda like King Diamond. I LOVE his music, but man....once he opens his mouth I'm outta there.... Really? not into the operatic style? Or just somethign about Tarja that throws you off? Pagan 12-13-04, 11:40 AM I think it's the operatic thing. There's a local band called Operatika here in NY that musically is incredible, but something about that style of singing doesn't sit well for a long period of time. A couple of songs, yes. But after awhile I'm like "okay....let's move on...." Not saying it's not GOOD...just not my cup o' tea. Creeps 12-13-04, 11:43 AM I can dig it, I hear ya about the King Diamond thing though, but I think he's growing on me, I picked up Puppetmaster (1st ever King Diamond album in my collection) and I love it. I have a Mercyful Fate cd that I got when I was working at 98Rock and It's good too. Pagan 12-13-04, 11:50 AM Funny thing is, yesterday I got a call from a friend of mine who's an AMAZING vocalist, and he wants to know if I want to work on a side-project with him....a King Diamond tribute band. I don't know if there's really a market for that! Creeps 12-13-04, 12:12 PM We did a MOD tribute, we're called Hate Tank when the need arises, I'd be willing to bet you'd fare better than an MOD tribute. lol, but damn we were good, I heard there's a video of it but I haven't seen it. |
