View Full Version : Anybody seen the new Crue pics yet?
bigcozy 12-07-04, 09:25 AM Had a friend tell me he saw the new Motley pics for the new album. He was falling off his ass laughing, said they looked terrible. He said Mick Marrs looked like Keith Richards on a bad day. Anybody post a pic or have a link?
KimJoy69 12-07-04, 01:11 PM BCRich's thread has a link to AOL's First Listen ... there's a pic there. If my link from there works, here it is...

That ain't the Crue....it's a moneymaking machine reforming to milk the cash cow one last time. They can't STAND each other.
Hell, I'll still end up wanting to see them.
bigcozy 12-07-04, 01:18 PM That doesn't look that bad, wonder if that was the same picture he was talking about? Hey, if you lived like those guys, just being alive is a feat within itself. I really hope this is a for real project with good music, I think Velvet Revolver has proven there is a market for this stuff.

But they don't look like KISS
:mwaha:
SouthernImage 12-07-04, 01:23 PM I saw them last night on the news. My mom has a thing for Tommy :barf:

bigcozy 12-07-04, 01:32 PM Sixx: It's not about someone saying, "I'll give you a bazillion dollars."
Interview:

Is it me, or are Nikki and Tommy starting to look more alike? Mick is starting to look like Bob Dylan and Vince - well two words CHICKEN DANCE!

LMAO!!! Oh man, I'd LOVE to meet Nikki and ask, "well then Nikki....since as late as a month ago you were saying how you hated Vince's guts, and Tommy was a piece of shit, what exactly made you fall in love again in less than a month?" More like a couple of hundred thou than a bazillion, I guess.
Sounds eerily similar to Gene saying "It's all for the fans...." ;)

Yeah that might be the case, but they may be in for a rude awakening though as most 15 year olds today probably haven't heard of them (unless their parents or older siblings were into them) let alone buy their CD or go to their show. :)
They can't STAND each other.
Kind of reminds me a of group that had the singers last name and a continual feud between him and their talented axeman. But it was that way through their whole time together as an original line up, so sometimes they try and make it work.

This is true....kind of like the Who and the Stones also. The difference here is that those were just between two members. Here the whole f*cking BAND hates each other! Reading the book "The Dirt" is an eye-opener on that one! These are four severely disturbed personalities!
Oh yea...I just read the whole interview....he actually DOES say "It's all for the fans...":lol::laugh:
bigcozy 12-07-04, 01:50 PM We got to put together a "Hall of Shame" or "Hall of Shameless" for these bands. Works on me though, everytime VH or Dokken or Crue release some stuff I buy it, and I regret it. I just keep hoping any of these bands will put out something good. The Scorpions new release rocks, straight out, I just wish these former greats could just do what it is they do best.

True, the last good recording from Dokken was "Erase The Slate" when I thought alright guys you're back on the right track!!!. Then they released "Long Way Home" and put an end to that fantasy. I agree with the Scorps and won't even comment on VH.

Man, how incredible was "Erase the Slate"? Reb SMOKED on that CD, and they were heavier than they ever were. What a letdown after that!
And I'll be a third on the new Scorps! Sounds like the Scorps I used to know and love! Remember that crap-ass electronic dance style CD they did? In our circle of friends, it was passed around like Coutney Love in a crackhouse. NO ONE wanted it!
The reason it is not about a bazillion dollars is that they wont make that much. Like Pagan said, more like a couple of hundred thousand. Maybe they are hoping there will be renewed interest or something. I hear nowadays bands that have the budget can travel in seperate to the shows so the guys in Crue might not have to see much of each other.
I also agree on the Scorpions album.
So if I'm reading that interview right they aren't even writing a new album. It's just a compilation with a new song and a couple of remakes.
That sucks! I wanted new material dammit! :irked:
