or more. I am looking for the name of a TV mini/series (maybe even TV movie) that most likely aired on either nickelodeon or HBO in the early-mid 80's. all i remember from it is a girl and an adult male magician or something. at one point the song "Do You Believe in Magic" is played.
there are scary monsters under her bed or beyond her mirrors. if anyone can even point me in a direction i'd appreciate it. this is the third 80's message board i have posted this request on and no help. thanks a lot.

Maybe the one your searching for is Through the Looking Glass:
http://www.alice-in-wonderland.fsnet.co.uk/film_tv_anims_01.htm (the BOTTOM entry)
This one features Alice (a girl) being guided by a jester who uses magic (adult male magician). It also has monsters (the Jabberwocky by Mr. T and another monster by another person, who sung a duet at some point, I believe (have to find the name of the other if I get the chance ;) ), along with centuars and other characters. Let me Know if this helps! :thumb:
awwww while i was a huge fan of the live action "through the looking glass" i am afraid that is not what i am thinking of.
the monsters were in big muppet-like costumes. kind of like that warner bros. character that looks like hair. i think they might have been a couple (king and queen maybe?). all i remember is that most of the action took place in the girl's bedroom.
this really has pestered me forever. thanks a lot for your response.

First, your welcome :) and second, could it have possibly been Labyrinth?:

Just be a little patient with the opening. Hope THAT one hits the target.

no.... i really liked that movie as a kid but this one is more obscure. it might have been an HBO movie or something which might be why it's so hard to find. i am searching so many 80's archives. thanks for your help.
