View Full Version : Gary Numan whistledog 12-03-04, 11:53 AM What is your favourtie Gary Numan song? Chasey 12-03-04, 11:59 AM Mmmm, a toughie. As far as Bazza Numan is concerned, I like lots but my favourite has to be Cars. Just behind, and in no particular order are 'We Take Mystery', 'We Are Glass','Change Your Mind', 'On Broadway' and 'Remind Me To Smile'. gazza67 12-03-04, 12:01 PM Cars, but my favourite is 'Are Friends Electric?' when he was Tubeway Army. The song blew my socks away and made me smash all my Elvis records up! whistledog 12-03-04, 12:09 PM I went with Change Your Mind by Sharpe & Numan. A simply wonderful song :thumb: Cars, but my favourite is 'Are Friends Electric?' when he was Tubeway Army. The song blew my socks away and made me smash all my Elvis records up! 'Are Friends Electric' was wicked. I loved the way it got used in that Sugababes song 'Freak Like Me' JS 12-03-04, 12:53 PM What is your favourtie Gary Numan song? Mine is Cars (which I've heard quite a few times on the radio recently). Mmmm, a toughie. As far as Bazza Numan is concerned, I like lots but my favourite has to be Cars. Cars is my favorite, too. Just behind, and in no particular order are 'We Take Mystery', 'We Are Glass','Change Your Mind', 'On Broadway' and 'Remind Me To Smile'. I've never heard any of those five other Gary Numan songs. Xcess-N-Htown 12-03-04, 06:33 PM If we are going to allow in Sharpe & Numans, than I would chose "No More Lies" . Cars would be my fave Gary Numan song. Hurrah Brother 12-10-04, 01:51 PM Though its listed as a Tubway Army track, Down in the Park *shudders* Great, but scary track! :yesnod: blackdragon 12-10-04, 02:56 PM Change Your Mind... quite possibly one of the best club songs of it's time. Crump99 12-14-04, 05:49 PM Cars - no contest really IMO :yesnod: spooky 12-14-04, 06:08 PM "Cars" has been stuck in my head many, many times :) voix 12-20-04, 02:53 PM if you like numan you'll like this little beauty... Monty007® 12-01-05, 08:37 AM Very tough this one , but voted for I Die , You Die Bananana 1-01-06, 05:57 AM Cars, but I liked him better when he was with Tubeway Army. I just love "Are friends electric". That's one of my all time favorites :vibes: DJ Jam 1-11-06, 09:25 AM if anyone is interested i have a fantastic dvd of Gary Numan's "Micromusic" concert. it is nearly 2 hours long and totally kicks butt!!! it is a vhs transfer but the quality and sound is top notch, there is also a chapter select menu for each songs so you can skip to your favorite song. here is the track listing: Intro, This Wreckage, Remind Me To Smile, Metal, Me I Disconnect From You, Complex, The Aircrash Bureau, Airplane, M.E., Everyday I Die, Films, Remember I Was Vapour, Trois Gymnopodies #1, She's Got Claws, Cars, I Dream Of Wires, I'm An Agent, The Joy Circuit, I Die You Die, Cry The Clock Said, Tracks, Down In The Park, My Shadow In Vain, Please Push No More, Are Friends Electric, We Are Glass, Outro. email me: 64scorpion@earthlink.net DJ Jam Timbo 1-12-06, 03:48 AM I plumped with Change Your Mind, but my vote could have gone to We Are Glass, Cars (which has been a hit 5 times) or She's Got Claws. Robert Palmer does a great version of "I Dream of Wires" on a compilation album I've got of Robert - and Gary Numan actually plays on the track. They met up when Robert had this tape of Gary's "Cars" and "Wires" and actually asked Gary to play on his version, which he agreed to at once. Crump99 1-15-06, 04:09 PM Cars:yesnod: We Are Glass:thumb: as well Music For Chamelions:thumb: as well walvis 1-16-06, 07:06 AM Are friends Electric is my fave :) 80's fanatic 3-12-06, 01:01 AM 'Cars' is my favorite :) dcantujr 3-13-06, 02:03 PM No More Lies (Razormaid Remix) Livinginthe80's 1-12-07, 12:20 AM Gary Numan, who went through so much ridicule to bring the world his vision, and unique style of music. I voted for "Cars", although, I really like "Are Friends Electric?", "America" and "Down In The Park". The man has earnt respect from some of todays artists, and rightly so. |
