Here's something that I had completely forgotten about...

When I was a kid growing up in the 80's.. I used to love when this came on TV :bouncy:

In 1979, a short film for the "National Film Board of Canada" debuted called The Log Driver's Waltz (French Title for Quebec: La valse du maître draveur) that became a staple of Canadian TV right through the 80's and even into the early 90's as it was shown frequently on CBC during commercial breaks

It was an animated short that featured a lumberjack sailing down a river on a log while a version of the Traditional Canadian song The Log Driver's Waltz (as sung by legendary Canadian sisters Kate and Anna McGarrigle) was played ...

♫ For he goes birling down a-down the white water;
That's where the log driver learns to step lightly.
It's birling down, a-down white water;
A log driver's waltz pleases girls completely ♫

John Weldon, the man who directed it was born in the same city as me :D
